See The Light

If you want to be in the light,
you will see the light.
But if you refuse to see the light,
Do not complain
that you are not seeing the light.
The Divine is ever present.
If you want to see the Divine,
you will see Him.
You have to be sincere
in your wanting.
-Swami Vishwananda-

One person present on day of Swami Vishwananda's manifestation of the Hiranyagarbha Lingam said about this picture of a column of light in the direction of earth upward: "Yes indeed, the beam did appear the evening of the manifestation... the sky was very particular and somewhat spectacular. The beam/pillar of light was itself an astonishing phenomenon

Dear Babaji, Dear Guriji,

it may be that there are people

who are always speaking the truth,
who are always acting right,
who are connected with God,
who are seeing the light,
who are...

But why do people then need a Guru or a Master ?

Your photo "See The Light" is wonderful. Perhaps one day...

It seems to me that i have to learn it all.

Thank You for Your teaching.

Love

Can we have some discussion as to what was happening in this photograph above of Guruji?

What is the light source..is it from a window? - Thank you. Namaste.

to 1st comment:none of us non-enlightened persons is perfect. it is not about n o t needing a master, but about the danger of missing the chance to be with a living master. as has been said previously by Swamiji not necessarily the Master is with us, incarnated, in all our incarnations, this is how I understand it...JGD

Every aspirant must strive to keep himself away from the turmoil, falsehood and cruelties of the world, and practice truth, righteousness, love and peace at all times. This is truly the path of devotion. Those who seek union with God must discard as worthless both praise and blame, appreciation and derision, prosperity and adversity. No great soul or even Avatar (Divine Incarnation) can ever escape criticism and blame. JGD

Saints live a pure life.Today we can
read about Euthymius the great and his experience with one of his monk-
brothers seeing him dying.
My question to Mahavatar Babaji is:
What advice can you give me to get
rid of lecherous and intemperate
thoughts and feelings?

I was there on that day: One would maybe at first not see the light as something extraordinary and just regard it as a particular formation of sky, lights & clouds. But if you give it a second thought and look at the way the light “behaves” – moving upward in a pillar fashion across several layers of clouds - , it doesn’t really make sense. At least I haven’t seen anything like it before…

To the person who asked the source of the light in the picture of Gurudev: I don't know! Someone sent me the picture and told me that it was OK to publish it. In my experience with Swami, he seldom talks about such things..but sometimes he does to everyone's happiness.

You might consider sending Swami an Email and ask him about the light in the picture (send him the picture if you do, please). In my experience, he may and he may not answer your Email or your question. But he seems to always help me to get his answer within, or something comes my way in the material world that lets me know that is his answer to my Email (infrequent Emails he seems to prefer we send). Perhaps that is part of his training for us to go within for our answers, but again, I am not certain. -Utpalavati

I find it interesting that today positive thinking is very much en vogue. thirty years ago my first yoga teacher explained that positive thinking is good, yes, but leads only to a certain point. It does advertise confidence in oneself, which, true, is a component of spirituality. but true spirituality must also comprise self-discipline and self-sacrifice in order to be fruitful, i.e. in order to lead towards enlightenment and not to lead to greed and pride and increase instead of decrease of material wishes and material thoughts. Mahavatar Kriya Babaji: Help in any form must be genuinly sought. You know that cleanliness of thought brings purity of action. Here is a simple formula for pure thoughts for anyone who sincerely wants this P U R I T Y:

P - is for the purity of the Christ, be like His example.

U - is for the Unity of thoughts, words, and actions.

R - is for retribution that surely will come. Avoid thoughts that will bring retribution that you consider unsavory.

I - is for the I AM within you which is the purest of pure. Find that, follow that which is the spiritual heart.

T - is for tomorrow which never comes. Be in the present and watch your thoughts in the present without thinking of past and future as its illusionary nature does not belong in the present.

Y is for Yama, Lord of Death. Do not wait to control your thoughts until Yama comes to collect his dues. For surely, Yama will come. Purity your thoughts now and every moment of present time.

Many teaching of which you know give you guidelines for rectifying the correction you write about in this question.Let it be that you are sincere in the asking and sincere in your intentions herein.

-Babaji, one who loves you all, not matter what!
