Love's Pearls of Wisdom - Mahavatar Babaji

"A partridge in a pear tree," is a lyric from a well-known English Christmas song. It resonates with the human love for one another and the desires one accumulates at Christmas for receiving gifts. We all know this is not the true meaning of Christmas. Yet, this song does contain an element of truth. We long for love and the beloved to show us that we are loved. As your teacher Sri Swami Vishwananda teaches you; ‘Human love finishes and Divine Love never is complete and it never ends.' So, choose, those of you on the path of Bhakti, to stay ever true to the Eternal Beloved, even as you have human love one for another. Please realize, however, that human love is limited and love for the Beloved is unlimited.

Love's Pearls of Wisdom - Mahavatar Babaji

This picture of Mahavatar Babaji Swami Vishwananda likes very much. It is said that it was manifested by Babaji in 1954 for a disciple, although I personally have not heard Swami say anything about it

Rings on fingers tell a story in time. Roses bloom in springtime and sleep beneath winter snows. One knows when to tune into the energy of the rose therefore. Energy emanating from stones in rings spirals upward and affects many aspects of man’s physical, mental, and spiritual nature. Be aware of the stones you wear and the attributes contributed to them. Energy from stones is like an amulet adorned with the Masters touch if you should be so sound in body, mind and spirit to receive one such as this and use it to its proper advantage. Pray for your resonance and understanding of such things. Be ready to honor the stones you wear, for indeed, they are as alive as you. Let it be known that pictures of Saints, Spiritual Teachers and Masters on your planet carry the vibration of the Master depicted, even as stones in rings may carry the Master’s touch, and vibration. Be aware of this and it can benefit you greatly on your spiritual path.

Guru Purnima 2011 with Sri Swami Vishwananda and On Tour With Paartha

On Tour With Swami Vishwapaarthananda: Yesterday Paartha performed the Kailash Puja-Yagna to Maha Lakshmi at Schuepfen, Switzerland. The home where the Yagna was held is very close to the home in which Paartha grew up. The puja was beautiful and special to me as Maha Lakshmi is my Ishtadev. The people were very happy that Paartha was there performing the puja-yagna. I was invited to do an impromptu and unscheduled short Satsang about my work with Mahavatar Babaji and His new book.

Yesterday and today we have seen the Swiss Alps, so beautiful. Previous days it was raining and cloudy obscuring the mountains. Of course, the Alps remind me of my own Colorado Rocky Mountains in America. -Utpalavati

HAVE FAITH

Have faith that what you are hearing within your heart is true. As long as you do not believe in what the Divine wants to show you, you will not advance. The moment you sincerely have faith in what you feel inside your heart, it will manifest in the outside world. You have within you the willpower of construction that comes from the constructive willpower inside the mind.

Wisdom of Love - Mahavatar Babaji - Report: On Tour with Paartha

Utpalavati - On Tour with Swami Vishwapaarthananda: Paartha yesterday performed a beautiful Yagna in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Rain was predicted to downpour all day. But the sun came out in early morning and in the beginning of the Yagna there were two times when a few drops of rain fell and the rest of the time it was clear. Thanks Swami!

Later in the evening I did the first Satsang of this tour with Paartha interpreting from English into German. We were in a beautiful Zen room in a Swami Vishwananda devotee Doctor's office space with a Zen garden with pond outside the room. It all went well with the participants sharing experiences with God's Grace. We worked with Sutra 104 from Mahavatar Babaji's new book, JOURNEY TO FREEDOM: The Bhakti Sutras of Mahavatar Kriya Babaji.

Today we drove through Germany to the ferry boat across Lake Constance, a very large lake extending for 60 miles. It was a very beautiful scene even though there were clouds and it was chilly. On the other side we reached Switzerland and we drove to Paartha's father's house in Switzerland with a view of the Swiss Alps which today are shrouded in rain and fog. Perhaps tomorrow we will see them. Paartha will perform a Yagna in his home town tomorrrow.

Inside a Voice is Calling Your to be Free

Inside, a voice is calling you to be free. Life is the most beautiful thing that God has given you. Don´t waste it. At the end, when life is departing this body and you look back you may say: “Oh my God, I have missed so many choices, so many chances God has sent to me. My mind has been ruled by so many mistakes. I made myself blind.” Why do I say, I make myself blind? The choice to be blind or to see is up to you. How does one do that? Do you do your sadhana every day? Do you, or not? How many among you do your sadhana regularly and I mean every day? You see, the spiritual sadhana helps you to free the mind and it helps you not to get entangled into this limitation.

Once a student went to his Guru and said: “Master, I am troubled.” The master stood right in front of him and came very near to his face, like this microphone, and said: “Why do you hang on the illusion? You know, whatever is in this mind is an illusion, why do you hang on that? You know very well that deep inside of you only God resides. Why don´t you find joy inside of this?” Then the master said: “My dear child, recite for 24 hours, nonstop, your Guru mantra and meditate intensely for 4 hours and you will conquer the mind.” Of course the grace of the Guru was there.

The grace of God is with you. When I tell you to chant the name of God 24 hours, you ask: “What if I sleep?” How can we chant when we are sleeping? But that is the secret of mantra japa,. The more you train yourself by chanting throughout the day the name of God, the more you train yourself in reciting continuously in every action to remember the Divine, the more it will become automatic. Then even when you sleep, you will carry on chanting and you will carry on singing the Divine names. And practice your spiritual sadhana, because your spiritual practice is like a shield, like an armor, that has been given to you to protect you. And when you are protected you don´t need to fear anything. But if you have been given an armor, you put it in a wardrobe. Then when you have many enemies attacking you, how will you protect yourself? Tell me, would you be protected? No. So why put the armor inside a wardrobe! Wear it (chant the mantra continuously as your armor) and be disciplined about it, self-disciplined.

Gurupurnima: Swami's Story of Divine Mother Healing

Swami told this story at Gurupurnima (Utpalavati paraphrasing from memory):
There was a boy in Mauritius, actually, who was in despair--over a girl. Of course, I knew about it. I went to his home and asked his mother, "Where is your son?" The mother told me that her son was sleeping in his room. I told her, 'No, he is not sleeping.'

When I went to this boy's room, he had taken lots of pills. The boy became all right. The boy's mother asked me later, "What did you do?" You see, the Divine Mother takes care when you ask her for something if it is beneficial.

Swami told this story very humbly, so that you almost did not notice that he actually was the instrument the Divine Mother used to heal the boy. The story was very heart-touching!

GURU PURNIMA 2011 Shree Peetha Nilaya with Sri Swami Vishwananda

Utpalavati:

I am at Shree Peetha Nilaya and Guru Purnima today, Friday, July 15. This evening, all devotees were given the opportunity to venerate the Guru by keeling in front of Swami and placing rose petals on his feet. This unity created a tangible and beautiful shakti energy.

I will paraphrase from memory a little of what Swami talked about after the veneration of the Guru: He began talking about how the Guru is inside everyone. He talked about the 108 bhagans which were sung throughout the day from groups of people from different countries. (Swami, along with residents of Shree Peetha Nilaya sang the first and last round of the 108 bhagans). Swami talked about how the unity created when people sing or chant the Divine names together makes everyone stronger. That is as Jesus said: "Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am also," because the unity of more than one person praying or chanting together makes them stronger. Swami said that we are one family.

Swami talked about the Divine Mother. When we pray to her in "my name" she will give us what we pray for if it is beneficial.

Love's Pearls of Wisdom - Mahavatar Babaji

When time stands no more and you are free to roam the cosmos’ starry skies, you will remember this dark age of Kali. The Divine Mother Kali tramples the human ego under her feet. This is a Divine Decree! Why do you think the ones who know Maha Kali fear her initially? Kali is the aspect of the Mother that helps devotees to annihilate the ego-will in service to God-Will. Do not fear relinquishing the human ego. So Let It Be.

The Language of Love

Love is a language, which the limited words that we speak, can’t express; it can be felt only. It’s a language that the mother understands. When a newborn baby comes on earth the baby doesn’t speak. It’s a heart-to-heart communication and this heart-to-heart communication is the true language. This is the language of love, the language of the soul. Life without this language, life without love is of no use. Even if someone doesn’t feel love, there is a degree of love, or otherwise nothing would exist. A life without love is like a land, which you can till as much as you want, but it will never be fertile. The life with a little bit of love, that’s what we call joy.

Prayer of Gratitude

When you make your first step through prayer, through chanting, the Divine will run to you. And it is possible to attain Him. Open up the mind, surrender it to Him, and let the Love which you have inside of you flow. If you have not yet attained this Love, do everything to attain it. That’s who you are and that’s what you are here for.

We should always use our common sense. It is of no use to take off and ‘fly around.’ We have to stay grounded and also do our work on this Earth. We have to proceed patiently and with respect to the Divine and to ourselves.

-Sri Swami Vishwananda

Prayer of Gratitude

Oh, Lord, our God. . .
The road we travel in this life
Is wrought with strife and toil.

When we pray and meditate
Your Atma Kriya with sincerity,
Though . . .
Our Heart becomes pure and afire
With Love and Truth of Divine Light.
This Love-Light lives within our Heart
That has become so open to
The truth of life now.
This is Your God-given human right
Since You breathed into us
Your breath of life.

The road to hell lies within the material world
When we ignore Your Truth Within.
For in our Heart
We are Your Love from the beginning.
And Love we ever shall be
From the beginning without end
Throughout Your eternity.

Amen and OM.

What Is Life?

Life is Love. Love, of course, is Divine. Love is God. The feeling of love, that's what life is all about, to realize this great Love. Not just partial love like when today we say "I love you," and tomorrow, "Who is that person?" Life is not that love, but the Love that is beyond expression and this Love that is unconditional, which is in everything around you. That's what life is.

Love's Pearls of Wisdom - Mahavatar Babaji

The whole of creation is at my command. I will liberate all of you from the pain and suffering that is part of your incarnational cycles on Earth, however long you wish to take. I am always with you from the beginning without end. It is time you all stay focused on the Divine Plan at hand. You must remember to do your sadhana each day if you are concerned for your souls’ liberation into freedom. Let the sun rise each morning and set each night for your benefit as the Divine designed it to be. Just as regular as the sun comes and goes, so do you in your incarnations. Free yourself from mandatory incarnations; be regular in your sadhana. It is time.

Outside People are Like a Mountain

The outside people, who are not searching for the Divine and are not searching for the purpose of life, are like a mountain. That is, when the Grace of God flows from the Divine to them, it just flows down and out.

Sri Swami Vishwananda

EMERALD WORLD

This world of illusion, in reality, is a shining jewel,
Like a green emerald in the eye of space
Clearly visible to etheric worlds beyond.
As above, so below . . .
Blue and white clouds and azure-colored
Oceans cover our planet,
This world we call our physical home.

Rolling hills and towering Himalayan Mountains
Spiritually imbued with Lord Babaji’s Love and Grace
Stand as eternal sentinels of spirit’s Love
Forevermore and forevermore in the
Akashic Records beyond time.
Winters come there and winters go there,
Bringing springtime’s melting Himalayan snows
Which rush into the oceans deep and true,
Like the Great Ocean of Life in symbolic form.

Love for the Divine in all things and everyone
Conquers the fear, greed, lust, and hate in man.
So, "rest in peace" the Spiritual Masters say
When they teach the ancient
Himalayan Yogi Spiritual laws.
For peace of mind, and love in the heart for the Divine,
Are the goals of life and enlightenment’s friends.

Forgive the ones whom you think have hurt you
And also those whom you think you have harmed.
For truly, we are only One in this game of life.
The Lord God is not only our Loving Friend,
He is the collective we,
And We are He as One.

Swami in Russia During the Famous "White Nights of St. Petersburg" (With Video)

During the white nights of St Petersburg, Russia the sky at midnight is still light like early evening. In the above photo Swami Vishwananda is standing, at midnight, in front of the statue of Peter the Great during the white nights of St. Petersburg this week. (Sri Swami Vishwananda is in Russia this week doing darshans, satsangs, spiritual work).

Technically speaking the so-called "White Nights" are not unique to St Petersburg, but only here have the northern lights received such a poetic acclaim. It is beautiful walking along rivers and canals when night is as bright as early evening? It is the world's only metropolis where such a phenomenon takes place every summer.

From late May to early July nights are bright in St Petersburg, but the real White Nights normally last from June 11 to July 2. The nature of the White Nights (Beliye Nochi) can be explained by the geographical location of St. Petersburg. It is the world's most northern city with a population over 1 million. St Petersburg is located at 59 degrees 57' North (roughly on the same latitude as Oslo, Norway, the southern tip of Greenland and Seward, Alaska). Due to such a high latitude the sun does not go under the horizon deep enough for the sky to get dark. The dusk meets the dawn and it is so bright that in summer they do not turn street lighting on. If the weather is cloudy you might not see any White Night, though on a clear day you can get a feel for a White Night even in mid-July.

Through Devotion Your Eyes Will Open

When you realize this Oneness, you become this Oneness. I’m telling you, it’s not difficult. If you practice your meditation, sincerely, every day, you will achieve it. If you love sincerely, you will achieve it. If you serve sincerely, you will achieve it. But it’s upon to you to do it. The sincerity with yourself will be the sincerity... that you will give to the outside. You have to become an instrument of God and you have to become an instrument of this Love. You have to become a jivan mukti, a Realized, Enlightened soul, right now. There should not be any time wasted. Spirituality is simplicity. Practice it and you will achieve it. But the main thing is Love. Love will guide you on the way of devotion, bhakti. Through devotion your eyes will open. Even Realization will be open to you through devotion.

Our Spiritual Way - Sri Swami Vishwananda

We all are here because of our spiritual path, because of our spiritual way. This is the way to the heart; this is the way to realization, God-Realization. Most of you probably know that the main aim, on the outside, is to know thyself, to realize the completeness of who you are in Reality. In this search, you make many travels to India, travels to America, travels everywhere, but all this searching on the outside has a limit. We are on the search and the search brings us to fun places. We meet different people, but still we are incomplete. We say, “God I have left heaven to Realize it here. Whatever I’m doing, I’m doing it for Thee. Wherever I go, I’m just looking for Thee. –Sri Swami Vishwananda

"Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good (godly) way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls." Bible: Jeremiah 6:16
