Take Up Your Cross and Follow Me - Baptism of Purification

"For, even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve others, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
(Mark 10:42-45)

“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?"

Utpalavati: This morning in meditation, Mahavatar Babaji came striding toward me wearing a kurta with horizontal, thin red stripes on a white background. I was surprised, as before, he has worn a white dhoti from waist to mid-calf when I have seen Him all these years. Suddenly, then, he changed instantaneously before my eyes into wearing a white robe and a beard in the style of Christ Jesus. Babaji took my hand and we walked into the Ganges River. He looked into my eyes, and then baptized me by submerging me into the Ganges River.

Mahavatar Babaji said as we stood there in the water after the baptism:
It is auspicious to be submerged into the Sacred Ganges as it is a Holy purification process. Let the new you that arises from beneath the water of the Ganges flow ever onward, like the Sacred Ganges River, in the purity that you ALL were when you first came to Earth. Let the new you stand upright in this world with the Divine You within the Heart radiating Divine Love evermore to all of God’s Creation. Amen and Om. Let Easter represent and honor the Christ who showed the way of the baptism of purification in the River Jordan. Let it be known that the Father Who Art in Heaven cares for each of his sons and daughters equally as the Christ taught you:

“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone, who seeks, finds. And, to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. -Master Christ Jesus

Utpalavati: I asked Babaji later (I rarely ask Babaji questions during the time I am with Him): “Is there a spiritual significance to You appearing in the white kurta with the horizonal, thin red stripes?

Babaji responded: “Easter is the time when Christians resonate with Christ Jesus as the sacrifice of the lamb, spilling his life’s blood for humanity. He showed the rivers of blood that ran from his body through the scourging by the whip and the piercing of His side with the spear while hanging upon the cross. This sacrifice of shedding his blood and giving his life for mankind led to His resurrection into the Spiritual Body. In this way Christ showed that all mankind may do the same through locating the Divinity that the Father has placed within the Heart of everyone. Therefore, the red stripes on my garment represent the rivers of blood the Christ sacrificed and the white background of the garment represents the purity of Christ’s Essence.
