Parmahansa Yogananda: "Most people consider the course of events as natural and inevitable. They little know what radical changes are possible through prayer. Every morning I offer my body, my mind and any ability that I posses, to be used by Thee, O infinite creator, in whatever way Thou dost choose to express Thyself through me. I know that all work is Thy work, and that no task is too difficult or too menial when offered to Thee in loving service."
Sri Swami Vishwananda: "Look at the life of Jesus.; it is so beautiful. He taught mankind how to transcend the ego into the Divine Self. When you go deeper into the mystery of it, you will see that Krishna has taught the same. He has shown it to mankind. We also have to continuously remind ourselves that we are the children of God. Whenever we have a problem we identify ourselves with the problem and say: "Oh, God has turned his back on us." We don't realize that we have turned our back on ourselves. If we look deeper within by turning our gaze inwardly, we would find the solution for every problem. Everything that you want to know, it's just there."
Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita: "Never the spirit was born; the spirit shall cease to be never; Never was time it was not; End and Beginning are dreams! Birthless and deathless and changeless remaineth the spirit for ever; Death hath not touched it at all, dead though the house of it seems! Who knoweth it exhaustless, self-sustained, Immortal, indestructible, shall such say, I have killed a man, or caused to kill? Nay, but as when one layeth His worn-out robes away, And, taking new ones, sayeth, These will I wear to-day! So putteth by the spirit Lightly its garb of flesh, And passeth to inherit A residence afresh."
