Loneliness: Talk in Estonia 30.10.11 by Sri Swami Vishwananda

In this episode you will find the full talk given by Sri Swami Vishwananda during his first ever visit to Tallin, Estonia. Swamiji talks about the reasons why we all often feel a deep loneliness inside ourselves and how we can fix that. (Note: the talk is translated into Russian and Estonian).

”I notice that when we are singing you are very shy to clap your hands. Well, if you can’t sing, it doesn’t matter; you can clap your hands. I think everywhere they clap the same way; you just need to go with the tune of it. You see, to control the mind it’s like when you stand under a tree and up in the tree there are so many birds. You go under the tree and start clapping your hands, what will happen? They will fly away.

Here [in Estonia] you are standing and in the mind there are so many birds, which are so many negativities in the head and you want to go away. So, when you clap your hands they also will fly away. And when they fly away you are filling it [the mind] with the Divine name, the thought of God. Then you can be free.

You see in this world, very often you see people even if they are with the people that they love they are still lonely. They do everything outside to be happy but yet they have a deep loneliness inside of them. They all fly while in the brain they are doing their sadhana. They are doing everything; they are among good people but yet deep inside they are still lonely? Why? They have everything but yet they are unhappy. You see, if one is not centered and find the Lord within one’s self, all the outside is not good If one does not realize that the Lord is what they are looking and searching for, who is residing here already [in the heart] they will never find him on the outside…”
