Maha Lakshmi

Maha Lakshmi and Vishnu, The Supreme Being

Maha Lakshmi is the Divine Mother Shakti who bestows prosperity and wealth both physical and spiritual.

Swami Vishwananda has returned from India. At Shree Peetha Nilaya, he will perform a Prayer today, Wednesday, for Maha Lakshmi, Darshan on Thursday, November 4 and Diwali November 5, 2010 on Friday (Festival of Lights). Swami then will give Darshan in Munich, Germany on Sunday, November 7, 2010.

Swami Vishwananda: “We ask Maha Lakshmi to bestow Her grace not only on all of us, but on everybody who needs Her help in whatever way. We ask Her to bestow Her wealth of health to people who are sick, to shine forth Her light, so that our intellect is pure and helps everybody who needs help."

Mahavatar Babaji Quote of the Day:
"Take account of your assets and liabilities in an honest tally of how it is you spend your days. Choose the Higher Light way. I come to you continuously to encourage you and inspire you to grasp the golden ladder as Jacob did in his dream as written in the Christian Bible." – Babaji http://atmakriya.org/mahavatar-babaji

Jacob's Ladder is a ladder to heaven, described in the Book of Genesis. The biblical patriarch Jacob dreamed of a golden ladder stretching to the heavens with angels ascending and descending during his flight from his brother Esau.

Maha Lakshmi in her universal form is Shakti. The manifestation of the Devi to kill the demon Mahishasura was formed by the effulgence of all the gods. She is the goddess of wealth and prosperity. Maha Lakshmi's presence is also found on Lord Sri Venkateswara (at Tirumala) or Vishnu's chest, at the heart. Lakshmi is the embodiment of love, from which devotion to God or Bhakti flows. It is through Love/Bhakti, or Lakshmi, that the atma or soul is able to reach God or Vishnu. Often, it is Lakshmi who acts as the advocate for the request of a given mortal. When asking Vishnu for grace or the forgiveness of sins, Hindus often approach him through the intermediary presence of Lakshmi.

Maha Lakshmi is also the personification of the spiritual energy within us and the universe, called Kundalini (Shakti). Also, she embodies the spiritual world, also known as Vaikunta, the abode of Lakshmi-Narayana or Vishnu, or what would be considered Heaven in Vaishnavism. She is also the divine qualities of God and the soul. Lakshmi is the embodiment of God's superior spiritual feminine energy, or the Param Prakriti, which purifies, empowers and uplifts the individual. Hence, she is called the Goddess of Fortune. Due to her motherly feelings and being the consort of Narayana (Supreme Being), she is Mother of the Universe.

This Maha Lakshmi Mantra is a beautiful and compelling connection with Divine Mother
