Ringing In The New Year

Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple of Colorado
Castle Rock, Colorado, USA
Vaishnavism - Worship of Narayana Vishnu and Maha Lakshmi

After being at Shree Peetha Nilaya, Premavatar Swami Vishwananda’s ashram, for six months, returning home recently brought happy news from a friend. A new Sri Venkateswara (Vishnu)  Swamy Temple of Colorado is nearing completion, only a 20 minute drive from my home. Along with a friend, the New Year's Celebration Puja was attended yesterday in the almost finished temple, January 1, 2013. The Temple inside is not complete but the architectural drawings look beautiful

The Gods were invoked and their presence was definitely felt! The puja was beautiful wherein a “ringing of many bells” was wonderful. To my astonishment, Vishnu appeared and placed a gold necklace with  a round medallion with Maha Lakshmi on it in bas relief.  Narayana Vishnu did not speak, and I do not know the reason or the symbology of this “etheric” gift except these gifts are always a blessing.

We felt, also, love in our hearts for our own Premavatar Swami Vishwananda, but as we know, His chosen home place is in Germany for the present.

Happy New Year to Our Bhakti Marga International family,
Swamini Vishwalakshmianandama
