Swami went to Italy for a short trip after his return from Lanzarote, Spain. Due to snow his return flight yesterday was delayed and postponed four times. Finally, he drove back to Germany and arrived after the Babaji celebrations here at Shree Peetha Nilaya were complete. Swami Vishwaanashuyananda, Swami Vishwapaarthananada and Swami Vishwakurunandhananda did a puja and abasheik to Mahavatar Babaji. To be here in the Babaji cave for this commemoration was a heart-warming, wonderful, loving experience. This was made possible by the loving devotional care of the Swamis in the absence of Swami Vishwananda.
Swami gave an unscheduled satsang at 10 a.m. this morning. He spoke about the meaning of Babaji's Commemeration Day. He told us that we celebrated yesterday as the the remembrance and veneration of the time when Babaji made his resolution to stay in a body on this planet until the end of time. Swami said the end of time in this sense means when each person realizes his unity with the Divine. Then he gave a question and answer time.
Mataji, Babaji's sister, asked him to stay at a time when Babaji was considering leaving this planet to merge into the cosmic flow once again. Mataji asked him if it made any difference if he were here or there. Babaji answered that, "No, there was no difference to him"! Mataji then asked him to stay here and Babaji made his resolution to stay until everyone, every soul has realized his union with the Divine.
It is a wonderful blessing to be in Swami's presence and see His Beloved Face again after a year's passing.
