Meditation

It’s through meditation that you can really come to the power of complete fulfillment.  Devi is very powerful, because She traps everything, everybody gets trapped in it. Even saints get trapped in it, but the saints know their goal. The yogis, the sadhus, the persons who are enlightened, they know their goal, they know what they want. They know what is real, what they desire inside of themselves. This is what is real: to show what you really want, what your heart wants; to listen deep inside of you, to be free from the misery of this world. I don’t mean that you have to die. You can become a jivan mukti. You can live in this world but, at the same time, not be a part of this world. Then you can have happiness. You will discover it, you will enjoy it, you will know about it. For that, there are many ways. There’s prayer, which helps to calm the mind. There’s bhajan singing, which will give you bliss; you can lose yourself in it, you develop bhakti inside you. But still, this is not fulfillment. It’s through meditation that you can really come to the power of complete fulfillment.

The Blessed Relic Ring

Falling in Love

All of you have fallen in love, haven’t you?  You see, as long love is with expectation, it will always be terrible. But when you love, when you realize yourself being the source of love, it’s not terrible. It’s the most joyful thing, the most beautiful thing. Still, love is just a word that I say to you. It’s up to each one of you to experience it, like a small child. If a small child came walking into this room, he would just experience love; he wouldn’t bother about anything around.

Your prayer does help

We have just finished the first puja of this year´s Bhu Devi yagna and like always it was wonderful to celebrate again in our tent. At the moment it is very cold in Springen and Guruji started by making a bit fun about the fact, that Springen is even colder than Steffenshof, the place of the first small ashram.

Then He told us that the next 10 days from yesterday onwards, which was Narasimha chaturty (appearance day), will be a very auspicious time.

Swami spoke also about the importance of being silent for one minute per day. Silence for world peace. He told us that in these times the mind of man is changing and if the mind is not centred on the Divine and not controlled, the negative qualities will take over. But Mother Earth needs our prayer and our positive thoughts. He spoke these following words with so much love and tenderness for Mother Earth, that it was palpable that He really knows of Her true suffering from a different perspective: "When you see a mother suffering, what do you do? You help. If you see anyone suffering you try to help. Either through prayer or through positive thoughts, you help."

Swamiji is asking everybody to take this one minute of silence every day to concentrate on Mother Earth and to send her positivity. He gave assurance when he said, that when one does everything with the right intention, and one surrenders it to the Lord, everything will go smooth. And when we pray with the right intention the Divine will send our prayers to the people who are in real need. No prayer is ignored, your prayer does help, but everything has its time and we need to be patient for the right time

Guruji is asking all of us: "So, one minute a day, for example 9pm when your work is done, you can sit in silence. Don’t do it more than one minute, just one minute, this is very precious. Actually all minutes are precious. But what makes this minute particularly special is your intention of Love and Gratitude. Send it to Mother Earth, the world, this universe. So try it."

Kundaline Awakening

Somebody can have experience of kundalini awakening but yet not to be realized. When one attains realization, the way one thinks changes. But if somebody said they had kundalini experience, yet still the mind is very judgmental and thinking only about themselves, they still need to do Atma Kriya Yoga to dissolve that. – Premavatar Sri Swami Vishwananda

Journey of the Soul

Bhu Devi by Swami Vishwananda Premavatar

Bhu Devi yagna is a Vaishnava tradition to celebrate and pray to Mother Earth. Bhu Devi is actually Mother Earth. This yagna that we are doing is to show our gratitude and appreciation to Her, and also our understanding that She is going through a lot, not only now, but for centuries, actually. She has been taking a lot onto Herself, but people don´t see that this Mother is suffering. Its so easy to forget how important this Mother Earth is. We are here, we are born, yet we give Her so little attention. Mother Earth gives. She gives, gives, gives, not even expecting anything, nor taking. She is a manifestation of the compassionate, the ever-giving One and She is a manifestation of devotion also. One can pray to God but, you see, when you show your appreciation, when you show your thankfulness, you have to show it to the person, to the Deity.
 

There is a temple in Hampi, in South India, where She is venerated as the Universal Mother, as the Mother of Brahma, Vishnu, even of Shiva. Because it’s only here on this physical plane that She manifests Herself - even all the Avatars manifest themselves. The Divine manifests Itself here, on Earth, because She is very special to Him. She’s considered to be the wife of Maha Vishnu. She’s considered to be the other part of Lakshmi. Whenever Maha Lakshmi takes aspect as, for example, Sita or Radha or Andal or a different manifestation of Maha Lakshmi, it is Bhu Devi who manifests Herself. In the Srimad Bhagavatam Maha Vishnu said to Bhu Devi (after He rescued Her from drowning in the big ocean) “You will be ever present on my chest. From now on, people will venerate You as my wife and whenever You are in distress, I shall manifest Myself on You, to save the world.”

Everything is made with five elements. The whole Universe is bound by these five elements, but in the whole Universe, not everywhere has these five elements in action. The only place where you have the five elements in action is Bhu Devi. That’s why, among all the planets, the Earth is the most beautiful. We are very lucky. That’s why the Divine always manifests on Mother Earth.

The prayer that we are going to do right now is called the Sudakshari Matri Puja. There will be sixteen invocations (into kalash), actually seventeen with the Bhu Devi, of all the forms of the Divine Mother. The sixteen aspects, forms and shakti of the Divine Mother, are actually the sixteen facets of the moon - called Nitya Kala - and also the sixteen qualities of Maha Vishnu. All these prayers which you will be chanting, all the mantras which you will be chanting, all of them will be transferred to the Mother Earth kalash, which in turn will be transferred to the whole world.

We are going to chant the mantra Om Shrim Hreem Kreem Shreem Sri Devi Bhumavatiye Namaha. It is for Bhu Devi, Mother Earth. It is said that if someone chants this mantra 36 times daily one will, first of all, get rid of all the negativity inside oneself and, secondly, one will get peace in oneself and in the surroundings. Om is the king of all the mantras and it is actually also the root of Lakshmi mantra. The Om mantra is a primordial sound in itself. What happens when one chants Om, is that one is dissolving pride. The word Shrim, this bij mantra, is very powerful in itself as it destroys all the negativity and brings peace. Hrim is also a bij mantra of giving peace, but Krim is Kali, Aim is Saraswati, The bij mantra Shreem or Srim denotes Maha Lakshmi, the giver of boons, and the Sarva Shakti, the all-pervading Shakti. Maha Lakshmi creates also the balance. The balance in the elements, balance in yourself by purifying you, by cleansing all the negativity out of you, by uniting your body, mind and spirit, so that you can advance on your spiritual path.

Then we have “Shree Devi Bhumavatiye Namaha”. This is the presiding Deity, Bhu Devi, Mother Earth Herself. When we chant the mantra, we invoke the Deity. Vibrationally the Deity is present. The Deities are vibrations. The moment you invoke them, call for them, they take their place and are present here with us. After that, they will be installed inside of each one of us because in reality we invoke them from deep within ourselves.

Swami Vishwananda Premavatar: The Divine is never far away from people. He is continuously close to you. How to become aware is through mantra japam. The more you chant the Divine name, the more the mind is in a subtle state and the more you will feel Him and you will feel Him in every action, in all that you do. From time to time He has to withdraw Himself, because the human nature is greedy. If the Divine gives everything in one go, how will you appreciate? But when you have to look for Him, you will feel that longing. Otherwise you will be ungrateful for it. You have to remind your mind through your japam. No matter, how you are, where you are, He is one step ahead. He is walking facing you. He is always in front of you, guiding your step, whether you want it or not.

1)      Equanimity is one of the 26 qualities of devotee. Do you think it is possible for an average person to attain it and how?

Yes, it is. Because the real nature of who you are, the soul, is not bound by anything – not by good, not by bad. Soul is ever free. Nothing to bind it. As how the soul looks at it is always looking in an equal way.

But the soul receives all the information of the universal consciousness – God. But when this knowledge enters the mind, the mind has to interpret it in a certain way. So the mind automatically puts a limitation, a judgement, on anything. This is why we judge. Because of the judgment the mind can´t comprehend the knowledge.

In the Gita Krishna says: hey Uddhava, don´t waste your time with good and bad in this world. If you want to attain me you have to go above these qualities. This means it is possible. In the Bible it says: if you want to attain the kingdom of God, you have to rise above all limitation.

Yes, one can attain that level, if one really wants. This is the most important point. To attain equanimity is possible - but if you want it, this is the question. Until you are sincere, you can´t. Because the limitation, it is you who puts it. It is possible to attain that level even for a normal person.

How much you focus on it, how much you desire for it. Desire in a right way – even to desire the Divine needs to be in a right way. Outside people desire the material things. But here, to desire you have to have a certain eagerness. We can say we love God, but do we have the eagerness for Him to manifest Himself? We can do japa, but to have this love you have to want it, you have to rise above limitation. You are on that path. That’s why God has called you. Through many lives of working. Its up to you. The teacher is here to remind you that´s up to you to follow it.

2)      Should one learn to do everything with joy or only to do what brings joy?

Sometimes you do things which do not bring joy, but you should always try to do it with joy.

3)      How do we be in contact all the time that He guides us?

4)      How to help others through prayer? Pray, but don´t beg.

5)      If I give myself up completely to the Divine, do I also give up my personality?

Why would you give up yourself but hang onto your personality? Better to not give anything. That’s how people are: they give a gift and want back half. If you give something, let go of it. But if you hold on one side and He is holding on other side… Even the personality, you have to let go. To transcend the personality into the Divine you have to let go. If you don´t let go, you have another life to let go and another and another.

6)      Should I serve even when I get abused?

If one has taken a certain path, duty of serving, it does not matter if you get abused or not. But if you feel that despite giving all your service, to whom you are serving, there is not appreciation and there is not willingness to enjoy the service, you should bug away from that. Than you should reduce your service so that the person starts to appreciate it.

"The second picture here is the same picture that I gave
my disciple long ago (the first picture here),
The second picture simply has been enhanced from the deterioration caused
by India's humid, hot monsoon weather in the first picture.
Also, in the second picture, color has been added and the  shoulder part
 of the clothing has been changed by softening and moving it from my right to my left shoulder. This is all good, and either picture may be appreciated for itself,
as I have placed my energy essence into each picture and all copies. Through the years,
many people have felt my essence of Love in the second picture as well as the first."

Our SatGuru, Premavatar Swami Vishwananda has said that Mahavatar Babaji has given a picture of Himself to each of his direct disciples. On awakening and thinking about this in meditation this morning (due to an etheric experience while sleeping), Mahavatar instructed me to write of our experience with the picture and a ring He gave to me in a non-traditional way. Each disciple has his own story and experience with Mahavatar giving certain direct disciples a picture of Himself that Swami Vishwananda speaks about. The stories differ according to the Grace and Atmic, eternal relationship one has developed through and beyond time with Mahavatar and the purpose of the present incarnation.

Disciple Story of the Picture and Ring Babaji Gave

In the mid 1980’s during a decade of a grand awakening which was orchestrated by Divine Grace and timing, Mahavatar came into my life and gave me a picture of Himself in an unconventional way. This did not happen in the Himalayas of India but in my city where I lived in Denver, Colorado USA. Yet, through the years I met him in etheric form in His cave in the Himalayas for His teaching and His messages transmitted mind-to-mind and heart-to-heart. From 1985 until I met Swami Vishwananda in 2006, I did not send Babaji's messages and teachings into the world until at the time I met Swami Vishwananda, Babaji requested this.

In 1985 during the grand awakening, I read many different types of spiritual tradition books: Hindu, Christian, books about UFOs, metaphysical phenomena and many alternative ways of living and experiencing spirit and life.  I frequently went to a large “spiritual.” bookstore in Denver and seldom left without a large shopping bag full of books which I promptly took home and read daily.

One day in this book store, I noticed a picture sitting on a shelf among the books. Staring at the picture, the thought came: “This is the most beautiful face I ever have seen (later at our first meeting, Swami Vishwananda's face reminded me of my now frequently seen and dearly beloved face of Mahavatar Babaji)!" As I gazed at the picture of Babaji in the bookstore, I could not move; it was as if some familiar energy held my form stationary and my feet magnetically glued to the floor. Spontaneously from deep within my soul the bhakti tears began flowing. Recognition of this Divine Being in the picture spilled forth into my conscious awareness with an energy that felt like Divine Love, but still difficult to place into the correct words. I became aware that I had known this Being forever. I remembered Him, and from where I did not know at that time, and neither did I remember His name.

Carefully taking the beautiful picture from the shelf, I carried the precious object to the clerk in the store. I asked: “Will you tell me who this is, please?” The clerk informed me that the picture was of Mahavatar Babaji and related some little information about Him. Subsequently, I learned there were some few books about Mahavatar Babaji and I purchased these whenever I learned about them.

To my great surprise and completely unexpected thoughts, Mahavatar Babaji began appearing to me both within the spiritual third eye, the Ajna Energy Center on my inner screen, in the room wherever I was at the time and often in His cave in the Himalayas. He taught me spiritual lessons, initially many of which were techniques to control the mind. Mahavatar told me in the beginning of our relationship, “I cannot teach you anything until you learn to control your mind more."

The picture of Mahavatar Babaji  in the bookstore, I took home with me. The picture is the same picture which a year ago Sri Swami Vishwananda released to the world is a duplicate copy of the one Mahavatar gave to Swamiji This picture Mahavatar Babaji gave to me in the book store is obviously the same picture which an expert “Photographic Restorer” had restored from its deteriorated condition which the humidity, intense hot temperatures and the monsoon moisture had deteriorated in the climate in India into its pristine original condition as in the picture Mahavatar gave me. In addition the Photographic Restorer had added color to the picture that has become known as" the authentic picture of Babaji." The Restorer has also enhanced the picture more near to the fresh, pristine, perfection of seeing Mahavatar Babaji in “the physical  and etheric form.”

These two pictures, the first authentic one above, which is a copy of the original "authentic" picture . . . and the second one below it, which has been enhanced, are one and the same picture as Mahavatar has instructed me to send this message into the world-at-large: “Dear World Devotees and Disciples: The picture that I gave long ago to a disciple has now reached the time  to be released to the world.  Sri Swami Vishwananda has fulfilled this responsibility within his mission. And now it is time that you all know that the picture with color enhancement is the same picture as the authentic one which Swamiji released, but with the deterioration removed."

and we did not meet in the physical until 2006
In 2002 I had a Satsang-Kirtan event at my 8,224 ft. elevation mountain home in Colorado. My Guru at that time did some miraculous materialization's that night although He was in India.  People brought fruit, pictures and murtis to place on the altar.

As we sang kirtan for hours before serving dinner, vibhuti began to appear before our eyes on the pictures and murtis. My murti of Krishna that I had placed on the altar began with a few sprinkles of vibhuti on the face, the flute and over His Form and continued to grow even into the next days. My Shiva murti I placed on the alter began with sa few sprinkles of vibhuti and continued until later that night to materialize more and more sprinkles of vibhuti. By the end of the early morning when everyone except a few guests had left, the Shiva murti had a "mask" as the entire face of the Shiva murti was covered completely and solidly with vibhuti.

Three young unmarried men discovered they had "love" written on each of their bunch of bananas. When speaking among themselves, they discovered that all three had been praying to our Guru for a spiritual love relationship. One woman had "service" written on her honeydew melon. I asked her: "What work do you do?" She replied, "I work for the American Red Cross." One couple had "M" and "M" written on their bunch of bananas. They could not understand what this message from the Guru meant. I suggested to them that it could be their initials as their names were Mario and Martinilli (from Columbia). And on and on went the varied miracles.

At 3 a.m. December 15, 2002, the night-morning after the Satsang-Kirtan, which happened to be my birthday, I awoke suddenly without any transition from sleep to complete, alert wakefulness. Bhakti tears were flowing even before I awoke. I had been in the etheric form in a cave in the Himalayas where my, then, Guru had taken me. In the cave, I saw a wondrous sight as I stood mesmerized, magnetically frozen to the ground beneath my feet as I stood in complete stillness and stared at the amazing, young Indian man sitting on a blanket on the dirt floor in yogic padmasana. I could not believe my eyes as his face was so beautiful that it felt like my heart would break from the purity of his essence of Pure Love combined with the exquisite, enigmatic face. 

This incredible young man talked to me of spiritual things which seemed to me to be about one half of an hour. A few minutes after entering the cave my Guru dropped my hand and I saw him disappear peripherally. I did not wonder how I would get back home as the Guru had brought me to the cave by holding my hand. I simply stared at the beautiful face and form of the young Indian man seated in padmasana. I could not say a word. He was dressed only in a loin cloth. He told me many spiritual things. The only thing I remembered when awakening at home was that he had told me that The Avatar Ram was an ancient ancestor and he strongly suggested that I plan a trip to the Himalayas and do the "Rama Trail" pilgrimage that Indian spiritual people wish to do at least once in their lifetimes. 

This suggested "Rama Trail" trip I did in five weeks of traveling the Rama Trail from one end of India to the other beginning at Rishikesh and on to Badrniath in the north and back to the southern tip of India. Along the way I went to Valmiki's Ashram which is said to be the exact place of the ashram in Valmiki's time. Valmiki, as you know, wrote the Ramayana, the epic story of the Avatar Ram. Many memories proved to be true that I had remembered about Valmiki's ashram before going there. One mystical thing that happened there is that Hanuman materialized for me. As I came down from the top of the hill where a wonderful memory during the time of Ram was reproduced for me, I saw Hanuman at the bottom of the hill. He pointed to a rectangular wooden table in front of him. There lay two babies with golden skin with even the hairs on their arms glistening a golden color in the sunlight. Hanuman spoke to me telling me that the identical babies were the twin sons of Ram and Sita, which I already knew. I knew also that the twin boy on my left was Luv (Lava) and the twin boy on the my right was Kush (Kusha). And I remembered the birth.

Note: Sri Swami Vishwananda verified in April 2013 on his visit to California, USA that he was the young man in the Himalayan cave that I saw and spoke with in 2002 and did not meet him physically until 2006.

About the Citrine Ring Babaji gave me: Before I went on this Rama Trail trip, Mahavatar Babaji appeared to me and suggested that a citrine ring would carry a good vibration for me to wear during the trip. I went to a certain jewelry store and looked at citrine rings. I was magnetically drawn to a certain citrine stone encased in a lovely gold ring setting. I decided to buy it without looking at the price. The sales person told me, "We have three discounts on this ring, something I had never heard before. about any jewelry or any product for sale. The discounts were so large that when they were subtracted from the total, the ring cost almost nothing. Three discountss on jewelry are so unusual, I thought: "This is Mahavatar Babaji buying-giving me this citrine ring." As the Shakti coursed throughout my body, I smiled and thanked Him, my Beloved Mahavatar Babaji, my God, my Eternal Spiritual Teacher, my ParamGuru, the Guru of my SatGuru, Sri Swami Vishwananda Premavatar !

About the Cirine Gemstone:

Citrine has unique composition and characteristics. As a gemstone, it contains charms that keeps its wearer cheerful. Help doesn’t mean that you have to go to a house like this or help these kinds of people. Help means anything and everything! You can go into nature and do something simple, help planting a tree where it is needed or if you see some trash on the way you pick it up.
