Venegrate the Guru Before Yagna

[Once before beginning a yagna – sacred Vedic Fire Ceremony- Premavatar Swami Vishwananda said…] In Hinduism, we consider a prayer as unfulfilled, firstly, if the Guru is not venerated, and secondly, it there is no cow dung, which is for purification. In all the prayers, also, when we move into a new house or when we install the murti statues, in everything we use cow dung or cow urine, because the cow is one form of the Divine Mother. That’s why, in Hinduism we don’t eat cows, unlike here in the West where people eat everything.

We respect the Mother because in a cow every part is sacred. Each Deity resides in the cow. Every part of Her, everything that comes from Her is sacred also. [Now as we are praying] We’ll start with eleven OM’s. We will pray to Ganesha to remove all obstacles, so that everything that we do here is sanctified. Then we will pray to the
Guru. Inwardly, in your heart, bow down to the Guru and ask for the blessing. Aftwards, we will do a prayer for the planets, invoking all the Deties and we will light the fire.

Cosmic Love

Don't be scared to open up your heart; don't be scared of getting hurt, just love for the sake of loving. Just love because you are Love. Just Love because you have this fountain inside of you.
- Premavatar Swami Vishwananda

Cosmic Love

Jewelry is personal preference.
Some like it large and expensive for the better.
Some like a simple strand of pearls.
Some Gurus like their jewelry forged of solid gold.
Some Gurus like a simple strand of rudraksha beads
Hung around the noble neck of God incarnate.

Some people like a manifested ring on the finger
Given by a beloved Satguru Avatara.
Some like their ring to be given only to
The personal self, the ego-personality self.
One eventually notices
That this doesn’t seem to happen often!

While not needing sleep at night,
Do the Gurus buy their gifts from
Late-night television
From the “special of the day” . . . by the dozen?
Do the Gurus have some sort of
Assembly line in Manifest Heaven from
Whence their manifested jewelry comes?
Or do they simply “generate” it on the spot
From the free-floating cosmic atoms all about?

Some devotees would think these lines
Sacrilegious . . .  a lack of faith and trust,
And some would t
hink them simply amusing,
A mind-game in linear time.
To the true devotee, it only matters
That the jewelry comes to them . . .
 from . . . HIM !

Some people like to walk alone in life;
Some like a partner by the side day and night.
Some like multiple partners in the secret of
Of their fantasies and in their hidden heart.
Some like children as extensions of themselves.
Some make the job and the money it brings
As the most important thing in life.

Some wise people like to travel
The road of life with the Radiant, Omnipotent God.
Eventually, He becomes their everything:
Their God, their friend, their teacher,
Their confident, their lover, their everything.

One who walks with God has what?
Has he missed anything life has to offer?
At the end of his life, does one such
As this have regrets?
No. . . He has everything!

The seven doors of Viakuntha opened
For three days December 23, 24, 25, 2012.
So says Premavatar Swami Vishwananda!
Some, for sure, all over this world,
Walked temporarily t
hrough these doors and
Thereby m
eeting Narayana-Vishnu-Maha Lakshmi
On these once in millions of years . . .
Magnificent, glorious, gift-from-God days.

At the end of life for one who walks with
The Radiant, Omnipotent God through life, the
Seven Doors of Viakuntha open and
Narayana Vishnu and Maha Lakshmi
Welcome him into his Cosmic Family,
His Cosmic Home.
There he will dwell with the Gods
In eternal, unconditional, cosmic Love evermore.

Performing Abhishekam - Ritual of Bathing the Deity

Premavatar Swami Vishwananda
Performing Abhishekam
With the Christ Child, Jesus
Christmas, December 25, 2012

Abhisheka, also called Abhishekam, is conducted by priests, by pouring libations on the image of the deity being worshiped, amidst the chanting of mantras.

These Vigrahams (murtis | statues) are kept in Garbagraha; the normal temperature inside Garbhagraha is hot due to oil lamps used inside the Garbagraha, Aarthi shown with camphor.

These Vigrahams are kept in Garbagraha (main chamber where the main deity is usually found); the normal temperature inside Garbhagraha is hot due to oil lamps used inside the Garbagraha, Aarthi(waving of light) shown with camphor.

The idols/ deities/ vigrahas/ statues may develop cracks due to excessive heat inside Garbagraha
That is the reason for performing Abhishekam with various draviams.

Sesame oil (also known as ginger oil or til oil) is an edible vegetable oil derived from sesame seeds.

In Hinduism, sesame or "til" oil is used deepa, or oil lamps kept in front of shrines for the Deities.
Hindus use it in votive lamps and consider the oil sacred.

Ginger oil is used in abhishekam to help keep the Deity/ Vigraham/ statue cold; also it dissolves the dusty, particles present on the outer layer and later those are removed by the application of other Abhishekam items like Haldi (turmeric) powder, Rice powder mixed with water.

As Vigraham has life after Prana prathista, the Deity is treated like Humans and given a bath as we do we apply oil and then other powders.

You might have noticed devotees offering their head hair by applying Sandal paste on the scalp to keep it cool.

This is the same reason Idols /Vigrahams/ statues are given Abhishekam with Sandal paste mixed with water.
This keeps the idols cool.

Abhisheka with various objects will help the
growth of devotion and adoration for the deity and eventually lead to with pure abundant flow of love towards God.

By offering Panchamrita, honey, milk, etc., to the Lord, thoughts
of your body diminish. Selfishness slowly vanishes. You derive immense joy. You
begin to increase your offerings unto the Lord. Therefore, self-sacrifice and
self-surrender come in. Naturally, there is an outpouring from your heart.

Kannappa Nayanar, a great devotee of
Lord Siva, a hunter by profession, did Abhisheka with the water in his mouth for
the Linga at Kalahasti in South India and propitiated Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is
pleased by pure devotion.
It is the mental Bhava (devotion) that counts and not the outward show.

Significance of Abhishekam of some of the items

PANCHAGAVYAM - Removes all sins of mankind
PANCHAMRUTHAM - Gives wealth
GHEE- Gives Moksha state
MILK - Gives long life
CURD - Gives Good Children
HONEY - Melodious voice
RICE POWDER - Frees from debts
SUGAR CANE JUICE - Gives good health and removes enmity
LIME JUICE - Removes fear of death
TENDER COCONUT JUICE - Gives enjoyment and full satisfaction in life
COOKED RICE (ANNAM) - Gives Majestic life
SANDAL PASTE - Gives Lakshmi's Grace
SUGAR - Removes enmity

Artist Paints Christ's Face "On the Cross"

Premavatar Swami Vishwananda Abhishekam of the Christ Child

Watch the actual painting of Christ Jesus' Face, amazingly painted "upside down" and then see the face of Christ on the Cross revealed when the painting is turned "rightside up." This painting method seems relevant to the Birth, Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ Jesus. Christ shows the darkness (upside down) within mankind through His Crucifixion, Then He shows the "rightside up" of humanity with His Birth, Resurrection and His teaching:

John 14:12-14  - Bible
I tell you the truth. The person that believes in me will do the same things I have done. Yes! He will do even greater things than I have done.  Why? Because I am going to the Father. And if you ask anything in my name, I will do it for you. Then the Father’s glory will be shown through the Son. If you ask me for anything in my name. I will do it. -Christ Jesus

Premavatar Swami Vishwananda Talk Today - All seven Doors of Vaikuntha (the Heavenly Residence of Narayana and Lakshmi) are Open)

Premavatar Swami Vishwananda just gave a short Satsang for everyone a few minutes ago, talking about the "Meaning of Christmas" (mid-afternoon, Germany time, around 3:00 p.m. – December 24, 2012).

He talked about the three aspects of the true meaning of Christmas: Peace, Love, and Surrender. He said that of all these three, you only need Surrender to God in order to have all of them. Surrender leads to Love, and Love leads to Peace.

He also said that it might be surprising to some people that we're all still here after the 21st of December, but that actually there was a major astronomical event of great importance. However, it wasn't on the 21st of December, but it was *yesterday*, the 23rd. He said that this is a very special time, when all seven of the doors of Vaikuntha (the heavenly residence of Narayana and Lakshmi) are open - that this happens only once in millions of years. He said that this special energy will remain for three days - yesterday, today, and for Christmas.

He also talked about how each person and action is directed by the Divine, and that each person themselves IS a Divine manifestation to move from the negative aspects to the positive aspects (which everyone has in them - even the saints). It depends on what you give importance to within yourself. If you want to attain Realization, focus within your heart, and surrender the circumstances outside so that they help grow this positivity. Analyzing your thoughts and your actions outside will help you to come closer to the Divine that you have inside.

There soon may be a recording released of Swami's talk.

Experience the Love of God

Premavatar Swami Vishwananda: Make your own experience about the Love of God. I can talk about the Love of God. You can read about the Love of God, but it’s each one’s own experience. When you make your own experience, even a small experience, you will feel great joy and great bliss. You will enjoy it.

Maha Lakshmi's St. Nicolas' Prasad

Maha Lakshmi
Divine Mother, who bestows
Wealth, both spiritual and material

Maha Lakshmi’s St. Nicolas Prasad

The woman, in despair,
Laid her head down on the table.
The red rose of springtime had long lost its bloom.
Snows of winter hung on the windowsill
In cold
 testimony of Old Man Winter
Wrinkling his frosty brow.
Children played on sleds and toboggans
On the hill outside the woman’s window…
And some just watched.

The children's shoes were placed just outside the door
On December 6 for St. Nicolas to fill…
As was Germany’s tradition
Since...well...long, long ago.

Where will come the means to fill
The children’s shoes the mother worried…
In deep and sorrowful despair.

She fed her children a meager meal
Of porridge and bread and put them to bed.
All through the night she prayed for help from above
That some kind soul would
See the empty shoes and place a little
Something in her children's St. Nicolas shoes.

As dawn came, the mother peeped into the room
Of her children ever so peacefully sleeping there.
Then she dried her eyes and went to the door
To bring the children's shoes inside to slip into them
All that she had…
One penny, each, for the candy store.

The woman opened the door
And in amazement and bewilderment
She wonderingly beheld. . .
Her children’s shoes overflowing...
With candy and toys and fruit and all good things.
Each shoe was filled to the brim
And spilling onto the floor.

The woman’s tears welled up again and she prayed:
“Dear Heavenly Father,
Who art in Heaven,

Hollowed be thy name…
And St. Nicolas, too,
From whence your bounty came
I shall never be certain.

Oh Heavenly Divine Mother Lakshmi,
She who gives spiritual wealth
As well as the material needs of
Her children on Earth,

Thank you from a mother’s heart
That we have learned from our
Beloved Premavatar Sri Swami Vishwananda…
You, Beloved God, are bound only by love.”

Love's Pearls Of Wisdom - Mahavatar Babaji

The Immortal Mahavatar Babaji with Premavatar Swami Vishwananda
Yogis in the Himalayas can walk through snow barefoot without feeling the cold. How is this possible? They have learned to control the mind. Start today to watch your thoughts and create only beneficial ones. . . . Once there was a little girl in a remote mountain village in the Himalayas above Badrinath, India. She loved to walk in the snow with bare feet. Her parents tried to dissuade her from this practice but this girl was born to become a great Yogini, who remembered very early in life to control her mind. You can do this also, with practice and at any age in human counting. There is a saying in your time: “Just do it!
