You Did It - The Swallows of Capistrano

YOU  DID  IT –
The Swallows of Capistrano

“I” had a dream at 2 a.m.
In the Earth Year
April 28 – 2013.

“I” had a dream.

The swallows of Capistrano,
In that land called America –
The land of freedom,
As it is written and as it is said,
Return to their birthplace
Every year – they go Home to their Chapel, their Mission.

The soul of man may take a million years
To accomplish this birthright
 – Some much less – Some more.
And only The Divine knows just when and where.

“I” had a dream at 2 a.m., the after morning –today.
The dream came in Platinum-Golden, White Light.
This Divine Message materialized in the air before
“My” wondering, overwhelmed and amazed eyes,
Accompanied by absolute love and boundless peace.
From nothing and everything, these humble
Words appeared to the “I.”

The letter said . . .

You did it

You have reached it

Love,

What is the meaning of this, “I” wondered.
There was no signature after Love and the comma
As is man’s usual drama of writing his signature
Upon the written page in black and write, you intuit.

These words, so simple, so humble, so pure
Were written there upon the air
By an invisible hand in Platinum-Golden Light.
There was no paper or pen, or even
The Great Moses’ simple stone
Written by the Almighty Finger of God.
This letter and signature was not a
Letter and signature from Man, the small “i”.
This signature came from the Formless One,
The one called Love . . . The Supreme Being,
And Nothing . . . and Everything.

“I” prayed, humbly:
“Dear God, please give me a sign,
Is this message of Light your Will, Your Love, Your Grace?
Is this letter pure truth or the mind playing
Only homeward-bound party tricks?”

ParamGuru Mahavatar Babaji . . . then . . .
Drew in the air in Platinum-Golden, White Light,
Just like the message which came before.
Mahavatar drew the six-pointed star surrounded
By a perfect circle with all six star-tips touching.
This Supreme Being said with gentle
And Supreme Loving, Absolute Authority:
“You have reached Christ-Consciousness.
I have given you the sign.

The six-pointed star consists of
Two equal, intersected triangles –
One points up toward Viakuntha.
And one triangle points downward toward
The Earth of material mankind.
The upward point represents
Narayana-Vishnu, The Divine.
The downward triangle represents man
And the material world.
The circle represents The Higher Dimensions
The greater vibrations
Of the Formless one – God!
Christ-Consciousness IS the Yogic Union of man
 – mind, body and soul -
With the Supreme Being, The Divine.
Christ showed you the way!
'My Father and I are one.'

All of you live your lives, as many as it takes.
You do your sadhana, your Atma Kriya Yoga,
Walking along . . .
Slowly like a snail
Or fast like Christ, on your spiritual way.
But realize this truly:
Dear all mankind,
When you reach Christ Consciousness
It comes from nothing the “small i” has done
- Nay
Christ Consciousness springs forth
From the Love of
The Formless Supreme One’s Di - vine Grace.”

“I” had a dream !
“I” had a dream !
“I” had a dream !

The Story of San Juan
Capistrano's Mission Swallows
Source: http://www.sanjuancapistrano.net/swallows/
The miracle of the "Swallows" of Capistrano takes place each year at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, on March 19th, St. Joseph's Day.

As the little birds wing their way back to the most famous Mission in California, the village of San Juan Capistrano takes on a fiesta air and the visitors from all parts of the world, and all walks of life, gather in great numbers to witness the "miracle" of the return of the swallows.

Each year the "Scout Swallows" precede the main flock by a few days and it seems to be their chief duty to clear the way for the main flock to arrive at the "Old Mission" of Capistrano.

With the arrival of early dawn on St. Joseph's Day, the little birds begin to arrive and begin rebuilding their mud nests, which are clinging to the ruins of the old stone church of San Juan Capistrano. The arches of the two story, high vaulted Chapel were left bare and exposed, as the roof collapsed during the earthquake of 1812.

This Chapel, said to be the largest and most ornate in any of the missions, now has a more humble destiny--that of housing the birds that St. Francis loved so well.

After the summer spent within the sheltered walls of the Old Mission in San Juan Capistrano, the swallows take flight again, and on the Day of San Juan, October 23, they leave after circling the Mission bidding farewell to the "JEWEL OF ALL MISSIONS" San Juan Capistrano, California.

Gurudev Talk 20.4.2013

Rama was the embodiment of Dharma. He was very righteous. The question arises why he did not accept His wife Sita back after she was kidnapped by the demon king Ravana. At that time, a woman was not allowed to be alone in a room with a man other than her father. Otherwise she was not even allowed to enter her house again. So when Rama came back home after many years of exile, people accused Him for taking Sita back. He had to act according to His role as a king in order to appease His people.
What the people did not know was that it was only a shadow of Sita Devi who was captured by Ravana. The real Sita has been guarded by Agni Dev. There is a close connection between Rama and Agni Dev. Dasharatha, Rama's father, was not able to have children. One day Narad Muni, the Divine messenger, came to Dasharatha to tell him that the Lord had decided to incarnate into his Yadava dynasty. He told him to do a yagna in order to conceive a child.

During this yagna Agni Dev appeared and gave two mangos to Dasharath. They were meant for two wives of Dasharatha so that they might conceive. One mango was for the incarnation of Narayana and the other one for the incarnation of Adishesh, the serpent. But Dasharatha had three wives. So the two wives shared the two mangos among one another and this is how it came that two wives conceived one child and the third conceived two children as she got a share of each of the two mangos. Narayana incarnated as Rama, Adishesh became Lakshmana, then there was the shanka and the chakra incarnating in Sathurnath (also spelled Shathugna) and Bharath.

The reason why the Lord had to incarnate at that time was the presence of Ravana on Earth. Ravana was one of the two gate keepers of Vaikuntha (the abode of Vishnu), Jaya and Vijaya who had to incarnate as a demon. But this is another beautiful story.

Whenever the Lord has the intention to incarnate, he asks all the Devas for their assistance on Earth. So all come with him to Earth. When the Lord incarnates, the Devas are already all waiting for Him. And all know their mission. This is what we celebrate with Ram Navami.

The reason why Rama refused to take Sita back was because of His people. Sita always stayed pure, She is Maha Lakshmi, but this the people did not know. They were unhappy that their King took Her back after She was with Ravana, as they thought. So Rama had to act on His dharma as a king. This is a beautiful example how the Lord surrenders to the Devotees, He puts Himself always last.

Why is the Lord, Narayana wearing a tilak? The tilak symbolizes the lotus feet of the Lord. The meaning of Narayana wearing a tilak is to always remind himself of the love of the bhakta.

The same way Ram was doing His dharma, each one of us should do their dharma. It is not in our hand to decide about this; life will guide us towards this. There is of course the universal dharma of realizing oneself, but God has put us also to our individual dharma and we have to learn to love it, no matter what our task is. And if we learn to accept it and realize that the Divine has given it to us, it will lead us to our aim. And this is what it means to live spiritually. How can we live a spiritual way if we cannot accept what God has given us? When we finish our dharma which God has given us in the outside, He will reveal to us the inner dharma. But how will we handle the inner dharma, when we do not learn to handle the outer dharma?

So that is the Dharma. That is what Rama stands for, that is what He is showing. Each one has their own dharma, each one is very important in that. The role of a priest is a priest, the role of a banker is a banker. You can't put the priest into a bank. If somebody is searching for God and you put him in a bank I am sure the bank will be ruined completely and together with him all the people. If you realize that where God has put you, that is your dharma. Try ro enjoy it even if you don't agree with it.

Love's Pearls of Wisdom - Mahavatar Babaji

The rules of the game of life live in the Collective Consciousness of human minds. All the spiritual work done by those of you who follow the 'spiritual rules' of your Sat Guru assist all humankind by placing into the Christ-Krishna Consciousness the tenants of ancient India and the Vedic Tradition. Through Atma Kriya Yoga that Sir Swami Vishwananda Premavatar has brought into the world directly from His Guru is one way to help mankind. Is humanity ready? The teachers of Atma Kriya Yoga are helping to prepare the people for commitment to the Yogi way of spiritual life; for all is spiritual; all is God.

Once, one of Swami Vishwananda's Atma Kriya Yoga teachers taught a class. Several people experienced the Shaktipat of Swamiji and, as you call me, Mahavatar Babaji. One person in the class was very sad because this one could not feel anything in the Shaktipat Initiation or the entire class teachings. Yet, when this one began practicing what was learned in the Kriya class, on a more or less regular basis, this one began to grow spiritually and become more consciously aware of the spiritual teachers who offer Kriya to the world.

It is like this for many and the Atma Kriya Yoga teachers are aware of this anomaly in their students. Now this is addressed by most teachers in their classes. This is important for Kriya teachers to keep in awareness when they teach.

Blessed be the workers, the army of the Lord,

Mahavatar Babaji

Satsang with Swamiji

Satsang with Sri Swami Vishwananda, 18 April 2013

(summary / excerpt)

Last night Guruji gave another wonderful Satsang, which lasted more than 3 hours. As always, the atmosphere was very joyful with a lot of laughter and Guruji enjoyed his exchanges with the devotees present, often re-directing questions to the audience. And truly there were many, many questions asked. They will soon be available to all of you in written form as well as audio. Here is a selection of some of the questions and the respective answers in their essence for you.  In some cases, Guruji gave us new insights and in some he simply reiterated what he has already been saying in past Satsangs:

Q.: Do we have to ask God for help for a sick person only once or several times?
SV: If you have trust and faith one time is enough. If you don´t, you ask many times. To build up faith you should ask only one time and try to trust in Him. If you do things with confidence and faith it will turn out good.

Q.: What is the purpose of life?
SV: Looked at from the mind level, it’s a different purpose for each individual, looked at from the soul level it’s the same purpose for all. You have to transcend the human into the Divine, but not just knowingly – you have to MAKE it happen.

Q.: What is the soul-partner? How to recognise?
SV: The (idea of) a soul-partner is just to make people feel happy about their decision. There is no soul-partner. The real partner for the soul is God. What one perceives as soul-partner is a soul-recognition from past lives. You have to finish things (karma) with them.

Q.: How to transfer spirituality to children?
SV: Be a good example. Never force children. You can talk to them and explain.

Q.: How is it in heaven?
SV: There is a heaven. Know one thing: Love is felt with the heart. In heaven you do not have a heart. There is a form of Love because you are that Love. When you incarnate you become an expression of that Love. As a human when you realise yourself you experience bliss. Then it does not matter, where you are, here on earth or in another sphere. Heaven is another stage of realisation. There are also stages of heaven. All locas are heaven, some inferior, some superior, but always bliss. There is a sublimation of Love. You experience Love as you being Love. The individuality of the souls stays. The soul has supreme identity. Here is heaven, but you make it hell by the way you think about it.

Q.: When does a child start to collect karma?
SV.: The moment you take your first breath the law of karma starts, but you don´t collect karma. A child starts to collect karma when it develops a sense of “mine” (it get’s greedy).

Q.: Are there consequences or side effects to organ transplantation?
SV: If you are dead there are no consequences for the donor. The person who receives might have consequences, because the body carries karma. The consequences are depending from whom you receive. If you receive from a saint- very good!

Q.: Is there a cure for migraine?
SV: Drink enough water.

Q.: How to protect from negative energies/ influences from the outside?
SV: Trough prayer.

Q.: What is the connection between the Ishtadev and the Guru?
SV: The Ishtadev is revealed to the devotee by the Guru. When the devotee builds up an intense relationship to the Ishtadev, the Ishtadev will guide them to the supreme Lord. When the devotee is ready, the Ishtadev will appear to the Guru and ask the Guru to give realisation. Only the Guru can give realisation, not the Ishtadev.

Guruji was also speaking about how people ask for their Ishtadev, but have already on their mind what they wish for. Then they are disappointed that their Ishtadev is not who they were hoping for. It was actually really funny, how he told us, what he sees in their third eye and how it is different to their mind and that he is then in a conflict, whether or not to reveal their Ishtadev or not. So it is good to be open and happy about the information, because it is a really special gift from the Guru to receive such information.

Mere Gurudev - How Is It In Your World?

How Is It In Your World?

"But this mind of mine" . . . Oh, God !
Woe to the man who winks in canard jest.
The true nature of man is to be calm and joyful.
There is no wrong or right in true reality.
There is just love and Light.
Is it not said: God is Love and Love is all there is?

When the wind blows through the trees and the birds sing.
One can feel the Divine Hand of God in Creation’s song.
Winter snows in the Great Himalayas still the mind
In a majesty beyond comprehension of the uninitiated mind.

Wounds of old soldiers ache in the winter time.
When will war halt its painful destruction on mind,
Mental, physical and spiritual being of mankind?
It can only happen when each individual finds peace within
Then no one picks up a gun or weapon of any kind to harm another.

Love the Divine with all your heart, mind and soul.
All else is dharma happening at God’s Will.
Our “Mere Gurudev” is here . . . Rejoice !
Hold His hand; open your heart and "Just Love."

Play of Maya

By looking with these eyes, you get distracted. You say 'Oh that is beautiful'. You think it is beautiful, but it's not beautiful. The beauty lies inside of you. Even if you are looking at the beauty on the outside, what you have on the inside is much more beautiful, because what you see in the outside will fade, but what you see in the inside will never fade. So when you chant the Name of the Lord, look inside and you will find Him. If you open your eyes and look in the outside, you will just see Maya. Maya, Maya, Maya. You will be in Mayajal, nothing else! You will be in the play of Maya.

Love's Pearls of Wisdom - Mahavatar and About Ram

Everyone has a Voice Within which clamors and clangs.
This is the voice of the ego-self. There is a sound which resonates
With the spiritual heart, the Voice of the True Self – Listen.

Mahavatar Babaji
Champion of the Whole Humanity

Mahavatar tells a story: In the heart of the Himalayas, high in the snowy forest, there once dwelt a Yogi of great renown. He sat in meditation for 18 hours a day. His Guru was as you know me, Mahavatar Babaji. In many lifetimes on Earth, this Yogi had been a great teacher to the people of ways to make spiritual progress. I wished him to incarnate into the house of Ram, the Great Avatar, and help Ram with his mission as has been told in the Great Indian Epic, The Ramayana. This Yogi, my disciple, did as I requested and is a part of this story. Do you know The Ramayana

I request those of you who read our work here, if you feed guided from "The Voice Within of the True Self," which we spoke about in the above "Pearls of Wisdom". to locate a copy of The Valmiki RAMAYANA Retold in Verse by Swami Rama.

Do you know that Valmiki was the first person on Earth to write in poetic form? Even though American English is a young language, Swami Rama did a superb work when he wrote Valmiki's RAMAYANA. It is very beautiful.

From The Ramayana
by Swami Rama

the Bala Kanda (chapter)

That Bull of Munis spoke a word
To Narad, if he'd ever heard
Of any hero, versed in duty
Strong and brave, endowed with beauty,
Fearless, awesome, loving true,
One who would, his mind, subdue?
Did anyone now, walk the face
Of Earth, delightful to his race?
Narad did Valmiki please,
Relating all with brilliant ease.
"A jewel among the human race,
On the Earth his time does pace.
From Ikshvaku (meaning Sun Dynasty)
He is born.
Beauty does that one adorn
Righteous. valiant, kind and true,
His senses does that one subdue.
A master of the martial arts,
Acquainted with celestial darts,
Refuge of the troubled world.
Dasharatha was; his sire;
Ram's the fruit of his desire.
His father wished to make him king
But jealousy one queen, did bring.
The boons he gave to her, she claimed --
Her son as regent should be named
And Ram in exile should be sent,
Living like a mendicant
His brother, wife, did him attend,
Together would their exile spend,
King Guha was their trusted friend,
On him they all could now depend.
To Chitrakuta they were brought
They would live there, so they thought.
Happily they would there live
But the king could not forgive
Kaikeyi and soon died of grief;
His sorrow could find no relief.
To Bharat did they bring the throne.
But this the prince could not condone.
He searched for Ram to take it back
But Ram remained upon his track
And gracefully refused the throne;
The forest now to him was known
The sandals from Ram's lotus feet
Prince Bharat found divinely sweet..."

Beloved Ones, I bid you adieu,
Blessing you all to spiritually grow and renew.

Tribute To The Gods - Narayana-Vishnu, Shiva, Mahavatar Babaji

(Inspired and written in meditation with
Mahavatar Babaji in His Cave
In the Himalayas 17.4.2013)
Vishnu steps out of Narayana The Supreme,
Who is standing before you . . . still . . .  like a
Beautiful Blue Murti in a blue mist that obscures Him,
As if He is not ready to reveal Himself completely.
This Great Lord Vishnu moves forward to you
Leaving the Murti-like Narayana behind Him.
Vishnu moves through countless, golden energy archways,
One after another, like the many arches
In the greatest, most lovely Cathedral in this world.
Vishnu’s raiment shines with a plethora of jewelry,
Crown of gold, silk garments, and a
Radiant face and countenance that
Opens your heart to Divine Love.
The sweetness of the honey and milk contained in all
Of Vaikuntha, this God Vishnu offers in His blessing.
You stand in awe before such sweet, gentle, powerful Divine Love.
Your heart opens and melts into this Love, so pure, so true.
And you bow and touch His lotus feet in complete
Love and surrender.

Shiva bursts into one’s awareness like lighting
Flashing on the horizon – powerful, threatening,
Beautiful, regenerating and destroying with
One flash of powerful Light and Love.
You touch your cheek to His and
He says, “I love you.”
Bliss follows . . .
You bow in awe of His destroying-regenerating
.  .  .  Powerful .  .  .  Love !

Mahavatar Babaji . . . Oh, Belove-ed . . .
His Beauty and Radiance brings you to
Your knees.
You cannot move a muscle.
You stare at Him in wonder.
Standing in the Himalayas with Him,
This Great Being steps into a silver container.
Mahavatar gracefully sits and invites you
To pour Ganges River water over him
From a beautiful silver urn,
Again and again, in a ritual Guru Bath
That only His direct disciples are permitted.
You feel bhakti tears of humble submission
Of all your “sins and misdeeds.”
And you are humbled and eternally thankful
For His Divine Love and Grace.

The Gods, such as these, take a thousand,
Nay . . . countless . . .  steps toward you when
You take one step toward them and
You humble yourself and surrender to Love !
