Faith Is The Same Everywhere

Swami Vishwananda
Faith is the same everywhere. When true faith arises in the heart of man, all outside images disappear.

We have to understand that . . .
God does not have any religion.
God does not have any caste.
God does not have any color.
God is beyond all this.

We have to achieve this Oneness with the Divine beyond all diversity on the outside.

God has created everyone equally. He has placed Himself equally in everybody’s heart. God lives in the form of Love in the hearts of all people. Everyone is an aspect of this Divine Love.

Regardless of your religion, be it Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist or any other path, this Divine Love connects us all. Faith is the same everywhere.

No Judgment Confirms Purification

Swami Vishwananda with Swami Atmachaithanya
At Springen Center, Germany

Swami Vishwananda: When your mind still makes you judge, and you have not achieved the vision of the Divine, you have not purified yourself. This means you have not trained your mind to see the non-duality, to see the Oneness.
Then spirituality is still far away.

It is the same when you go to school. You go to school to learn and in school you have teachers. Do you know better than the teacher, or do you go to school to learn from the teacher? When you know that you do not know better than the teacher, you gradually learn little by little. You are there to learn from the teacher.

On the spiritual path it is the same. When you find a spiritual teacher, you go and learn from the teacher. But you don’t pretend to be better than the teacher, or to know more than the teacher.
You are there to learn from the teacher, no matter what kind of learning the teacher is there to teach you. It is for your own benefit, for your own growth, for your own advancement towards the Divine, whatever the teacher offers for your learning. One day you may become a teacher also.

Mahavatar Babaji: I ask you today, ‘Do you still find yourself in judgment?’ [Following excerpted from Unity] In these ending days of the Kali Yuga, the easiest way the Divine has given to reach enlightenment is the way Swami Vishwananda teaches, the Path of Devotion to God, Bhakti Marga . . . I recommend that you, who choose to connect with my vibration, seek out a course in Atma Kriya

Thereby:I welcome you into the God-Self-Realized world of Atma Kriya when you have chosen to recognize that it is time to access Cosmic Consciousness [beyond duality and judgment]. I welcome you into the eternal light of the Eternal Cosmic Father Mother God.

Seeing The God Light

Yesterday on Virtual-Babaji-Vishwananda Blog we shared a talk of Swami Vishwananda wherein he told us the Truth . . . that it is our Inner Eyes that see THE GOD LIGHT!

Swami Vishwananda: “Each particle reflects the light of God – this is the Truth. And this Truth is accessible for everybody . . . The only thing is that you need to take a little time to be able to see it; it is up to you. Nobody else can do it for you. You have the Grace of the Master; you have the Grace of God. It is up to you if you want to let go of the power of your mind and gradually achieve the heart.”

Utpalavati’s Story . . . Swami Vishwananda helped me reveal, “The God Light”: In March of 2006, Gurudev came to Colorado in America. I went to His darshan and actually remembered Him from somewhere, somewhen. Still, three months later, He was in my mind and heart continuously, and I felt compelled to know Him better. I flew to Gurudev’s German Center for three days and then He graciously allowed me to fly with Him to South Africa for His 28th Birthday Celebrations.

That time with Swami Vishwananda and his wonderful devotees in South Africa transformed my life and reoriented my spiritual path to that of Gurudev and Mahavatar Babaji. Gurudev told me when I was saying good bye as I was leaving South Africa: “I will tell you one thing, my dear, your path is with Mahavatar Babaji.

I was acquainted with Mahavatar since He joined the etheric teachers in my awareness with whom I was already working in 1985. Although Mahavatar Babaji had worked with me many times, never was Babaji what seemed to me to be “my main teacher” at any given time. Therefore, after Gurudev told me that my path is with Babaji, it took some time to integrate the good news. It was more than two years later in August 2008 when Babaji began to work daily with me on His book that many of you have read, Unity With The Divine. What a wonderful and blessed time!

In South Africa two days after His birthday celebrations, Gurudev took a small group to the Sivananda Ashram in Johannesburg. The lady Swami there hosted us in a lovely round room with many glass windows. We made a circle sitting around the natural curve of the architecture of the room. Of course, when in the presence of Swami Vishwananda, there is always music.

Someone began leading the bhajan, “Bhagavan, Bhagavan [meaning God].” The vibration in the round room was extremely HIGH! As I joined in the bhajan, I inexplicably felt like everything and everyone in that room was JUST PURE LOVE! I FELT JOY WITHOUT MEASURE. It was at that point, I opened my eyes and looked over at Swamiji, who was singing with His eyes closed. I thought Gurudev looked so beautiful and well . . . HOLY . . . in the HIGH VIBRATION of the room. As I saw Swami's Light, my heart mysteriously opened to Him in that Divine Love He speaks so much about, and my heart literally over-flowed completely in that moment!

After seeing Swami in a different light, I looked around the circle of people singing with eyes closed, everyone!

To my delight and amazement . . . Everyone in the circle of people, “singing their hearts out,” had the most beautiful golden light, THE GOD LIGHT, more brilliant than the sun shining from their heart area. As the bhajan, “Bhagavan, Bhagavan [God, God]” seemingly continued to ring the bells of heaven, Incredibly, everyone in the circular room had the same golden light spreading left and right, merging with those sitting beside them. I Realized, 'This God Light is present always in everyone, but we do not see it with our physical eyes.’

Realizing that it was Gurudev who had helped me to create the experience where I saw “The God Light in everyone,” it was then that I knew Swami Vishwananda is a Divine Enlightened Master! And in present time, I have evolved and resolved to stand with Swami Vishwananda and love Him Unconditionally . . . NO MATTER WHAT!

Swami Vishwananda says: Open up your heart and see the light that is inside you. This love you have in your heart is everywhere and in all of you . . . Feel God’s love [The God Light] all the time. You may not succeed right now, but keep trying!

Your Inner Eyes See The Truth

Kirlian photo of a leaf
Swami Vishwananda: Often when people use the intellect, the mind, to find the Truth they become inflexible. They close themselves in a tunnel where they don’t see anything else. They don’t see the beauty; they just see what the mind perceives in their self-created inflexibility. Whereas, when the Truth opens up in your heart, one sees beyond what the physical eyes can see. There are so many beautiful flowers; it is so beautiful for the physical eyes, isn’t it? But it is much more beautiful to see with the Inner Eyes. The Light that shines through all these flowers, all around you – this is the Truth.

Bioelectrography of a fingertip

Each particle reflects the light of God – this is the Truth. And this Truth is accessible for everybody. There is not any dogmatic thinking in it; and it is free. The only thing is that you need to take a little time to be able to see it; that is up to you. Nobody else can do it for you. You have the Grace of the Master; you have the Grace of God. It is up to you if you want to let go of the power of your mind and gradually achieve the heart. You don’t need to do much; you don’t need to force yourself.

The Void: Possibility for Endless Creation

Swami Vishwananda Teaches:
The way you make your mind think. . .
That is the way you create your life!
Some people want war. . .
They have it.
Some people want illness. . .
They have it.
Some people want the cure of illness. . .
They have health.
If you want love. . .you will have it.
If you want God. . .you will have HIM.
The way you make this mind think. . .
You create what you think:
Life happens precisely as you think and create it!

Mahavatar Babaji: Swami Vishwananda’s above teaching is applicable instruction for the person who wrote the following comment on VBV Blog yesterday, October 26, 2009.

Anonymous said... Dearest Master, Babaji: I kindly ask for Your inspiration and some guidelines. It is about how to interact with other people. I feel, there are always some or the other problems when trying to communicate. It seems [that] communication sometimes leads to more confusion, misunderstandings [and] weird feelings inside...

Babaji continues: Seriously, or not seriously when one is communicating, there are three guidelines that guarantee success and harmony within one’s own communication.

ONE: Do this—Christ taught: Do unto others as ye would have them do unto you. Respecting and communicating with others in the Christ way is a sure formula for creating harmony instead of confusion and misunderstanding in your own communication and inside yourself. You are not responsible for the way others communicate! However, you may be an inspiration through the way you communicate. This allows one to “get off” his positional attitude and actually perceive others as one’s self, or to communicate in the Oneness vibration of wisdom and truth.

TWO:Your leader and Spiritual Teacher continuously teaches you to “look inside the heart” and bring that Divine Love you find there and share it and spread it, always! Of course, this includes in communication!

THREE:Your responsibility to the Divine Love Within you is to communicate always following the two guidelines above regardless of how others choose to behave and communicate in group meetings or in individual communication. You decide firmly that you will communicate with love and oneness and you will discover that quite different “feelings” will be created within you than the ones you describe in your comment communication.

Please understand this—Swami Vishwananda teaches above: The way you make your mind think, that is the way you create your life!

Begin where you are Get where you want to Go

Mahavatar Babaji: Yesterday someone placed the following comment on VBV Blog. We will reproduce it here and the response I made in the Comment Section. I wish today to elaborate on the idea of: “Beginning where you are to get to where you want to go on your spiritual path.”

Comment: Dear Babaji, Dear Guruji — Please, let me ask You, “Are You perfect? Do You have something like wisdom of the universe given through God? Do you have doubts?

Babaji’s Response Yesterday in Comment section: In your understanding, from time immemorial those lost in space and time have asked such questions. Now is the time for you all to go within, as Swami Vishwananda and I say again and again and again. It is time you focus on your own awakening. Whether someone else, even a Master Teacher is wise, perfect or has doubts and shares that with you is irrelevant to your own progression on the spiritual path. You must discern for yourself your answers to those questions by observing those whom you are wondering about.

Have you noticed Swami Vishwananda generally does not respond to such questions? Why? It is out of love and compassion for you that He bypasses those questions, and because it will not help you move toward your OWN FREEDOM should He respond to such.

You must begin where you are to advance on your spiritual path by going within and meditating. We know the answer to this, but ask yourself: "How often do I actually meditate and for how long? Do I put into practice in my thoughts, words and actions and in fact my life, the teachings of my spiritual teacher?"

I will respond to all your questions that have the potential to lead you upward and onward spiritually. I have responded to the "real" questions you were asking about yourself in this response. Look for that! Meditate on why you asked those particular questions. Could it be that there is some reluctance in looking within and working on what you find there that needs purifying within yourself? Meditate on that. I will be with you. I send you my eternal love. –Babaji

Postscript by Babaji Today: Anyone who can imagine the attainment of ones like Adi Shankaracharya, Lahiri Mahasaya, Parmahamsa Yogananda or Shirdi Sai Baba may create that level of spiritual advancement for themselves. You may take inspiration from the enlightened Masters, but you must do your own work in purifying yourself to progress on the spiritual path. Meditation is one clear way of achieving greater levels of awareness. Swami Vishwananda, at my behest offers Atma Kriya for everyone! Do you practice?

Please take seriously and put into practice what your Spiritual Teacher says: Swami Vishwananda: "To achieve something you have to be disciplined in it and practice it every day regularly. It is very important to practice without expectation. This is the biggest problem in the world that many people expect many things. They want to do a little and get a lot. Of course you will get it if you receive the grace from a Master. It can be activated and made faster for you. It is important though, that you do not just fix always on the Master, but you also have to do your part. Be disciplined with your practice and for sure you will achieve the same level as the Master. "

Babaji Continues: We wish to encourage and inspire you to take action now. In too many lifetimes many of you have been what the Christ called “luke-warm" about your spiritual sadhana, practice and progress. You have been neither hot or cold but rather not totally committed but occasionally working and mostly not. Resolve today to select a sadhana practice and a daily schedule for it and then just do it! And practice, practice, practice every day and at the time and place you write into your schedule from your heart! Take seriously your own spiritual progression. We may inspire you, but you must do your part!

I write this to you all with great Love and commitment to inspiring you to become committed to your own sadhana practice! – Babaji

Note this Post-Postscript : ) : Babaji, even in His designing stages desired this blog to become interactive between His readers and Himself as Spiritual Guide along with Swami Vishwananda through His teachings (SV not directly speaking on this blog). Today when someone posted a comment about the OM Healing Circles instigated by Swami Vishwananda, Babaji transmitted to me (Utpalavati) that He wished the comment to be added to this, His post today:

Anonymous said...
Wouldn´t it be a nice start for those not yet doing their daily Atma Kriya exercises to at least attend an OM Healing group once a month? I mean, not only in Springen, but also to support the l o c a l groups? Wouldn´t it be good to start somewhere at least? Also you need not like or love the organisers, because you don´t do it for them after all, but you are doing it for your o w n progress... JGD

Babaji speaks to above comment: Blessed Be to the one who made this suggestion. I endorse this and say also that one may willfully and joyfully add the OM Healing Group work into the sadhana schedule whether doing the Atma Kriya or not! Both Swami Vishwananda and I place our energy into every OM Healing Group session. We will reproduce below something I gave recently to the OM Healing groups for Swami Vishwananda's OM Healing website:

"To win in life, one must learn the rules for any game. In the life of the sadhaka (a spiritual aspirant), to win the game, one must learn to radiate Wellness through union of mind, body and spirit. Therein, a Yogi is born. The OM Healing Technique Swami Vishwananda and I sponsor, invigorate, and infuse with Super-Consciousness greatly helps mankind toward this goal."

Let Go and Be In The Hand Of God

NASA Image from space known as The Hand of God

Swami Vishwananda:
Hold the hand of God within you every moment, and during any kind of trouble as well as in your happiness. Always think of The Divine and that He is with you continuously, all the time. It is up to you to hold His hand and let yourself be guided. .. Just let go and be in the hand of God.

We have to be centered in our heart. And wherever our heart is carrying us we may open up and let ourselves flow. .. Life is not a straight line and for sure this line will go up and down. In life, if ever you do go down, know that there is the hand of God to pull you up. You see, this hand of God is so great it will pull you up even higher than you were before

Swami Prays:
Oh God, Oh my Lord,
You have shown us the way…
Remind us that we are part of you
And that you are part of us.
May the symbols of Life and Joy
Always remind me of your love
Remind me always that every moment
You are with me
And that I Am Divine
Amen

Mahavatar Babaji: Receive the blanket of love the Gods wish to wrap around you and let it take you home to the everlasting peace you all long to remember, and live and rest within.

Adi Shankaracharya Advaita Vedanta

Ādi Śhaṅkarchcārya, was an Indian philosopher and poet who consolidated the doctrine of Advaita Vedanta, a sub-school of Vedanta [non-duality]. His teachings are based on the unity of the soul, and Brahman, in which Brahman is viewed as without attributes. He hailed from Kalady of present day Kerala.

Swami Vishwananda: All desires have limits except the Desires of the Spirit, of God! When you desire something and you want to possess it, the moment that you get the thing that your feelings desired, your feelings are gone because your desire is not the ultimate. The only desire that will ultimately fulfill you is God, because he is unlimited in everything.

There was a great philosopher and poet, Adi Shankaracharya who said, Bhaja Govindam Bhajam Muramate.” This means, if mankind would realize how foolish mankind is… We do not realize that the ultimate of everything is God. If man would realize that everything comes from the Source, which is God, why not take the Source itself?

Lahiri Mahasaya, who was a great yogi, in one of his previous lives when he had lived with Mahavatar Babaji had the desire to have a golden palace. That desire for a golden palace caused him to be born again on Earth. Because of the grace of Mahavatar Babaji and his love and compassion, Babaji guided him and fulfilled his wish in his life as Lahiri Mahasaya.

Form of Babaji in Padhmasana with Sri Yantra at Heart
Swami Vishwananda’s Atma Kriya Institute symbol

When you fall at the feet of Mahavatar Babaji, think of Babaji and pray to him: “If you can create this big palace, if you are the source of everything, why would I have a desire for only a palace? Isn’t it better that I take you completely? You are the ultimate. You are the goal of all life. Let me have you.” In the same way, do not waste your time in wanting things you know have a limit. Desire the Ultimate and you shall have it. God loves you. He loves you more than the mind of man can think about love. —Swami Vishwananda

Black Madonna Statue

At Oropa (Sanctuary) Monastery in Piemonte, Italy, there is a carved wooden statue that according to tradition was carved by Saint Luke (one of the 12 disciples of Christ Jesus). Historical tradition states that Saint Eusebius brought the wooden Statue of the Black Madonna from Jerusalem to Italy in the 4th Century. (Our thanks to a reader, who posted a comment a short time after we published and provided a link for pictures of the Black Madonna...Utpalavati).

Monestary where the Black Madonna is located

Note of interest to Devotees:
Gurudev and a small group are in Bethlehem (birthplace of Christ Jesus) today, October 23, 2009.

The following story is by Swami Vishwaviayaananda: A journey by bus was arranged by Swami Vishwananda in March-April 2000 to visit places in Italy where the Divine Mother Mary is especially venerated. One evening we arrived at Oropa Monastery where we would spend the night. The sight is magnificent as the Monastery is perched on the snow-covered mountains. After we organized our belongings and dined in the refectory, we went to pray to the beautiful Black Madonna in the sanctuary…

Then we went into the outside courtyard and after we had admired a huge wooden crucifix, we sang a rosary. Swami began to sing his whole repertoire; it was never-ending. My feet were completely frozen, and I was seeing the other people shivering as well as no one had dressed to stay outside. I whispered to Swami: ‘If we stay outside any longer, people will catch a cold.’ He answered, “Nobody will get a cold. Never worry when you pray to God.” I kept silent afterwards; I was reassured but still frozen. We sang for another fifty minutes and then we went in and drank a well-deserved tea. [From this experience] I learned to be completely dedicated to God when I pray, and not to worry about anything else. For the rest of the days that followed [on this journey] everyone remained in good health.

Calmness Lives Inside Experiencing Oneness

You see, the quality of calmness is very important --Swami Vishwananda
Once there was a man who was always searching for his Satguru. He went everywhere, but yet his heart was not pleased as he did not find his Satguru. He met many Masters, and yet his heart was not satisfied. The devotee has a divine quality within him in that his heart shall feel that it is the Satguru when meeting Him. So this certain man went around looking for the Satguru, but he was not successful. Eventually, one day he was near a Saint and he asked him, “Dear Sir, I am on a search for my Satguru; could you please guide me?”

The Saint closed his eyes and meditated for a little while and said to the man, “Listen, my son, up on the mountain that you see there are many Holy Men staying. Tomorrow is a very good day; invite all of them to your place for lunch. With love and dedication serve them food and give them respect. And as they are eating ask them a question. Take twigs from any tree and ask the Holy Men from which tree they come.

So the man invited the Holy Men to his place, as the Saint had told him to do. He served them food with much love and respect. Then he showed them the twigs of the tree and asked each one of them “Dear Sir, tell me which plant or which fruit tree does this twig belong?” The Holy Men all looked at the twig and said, “It’s a mango twig from a mango tree.” The Saint previously had said to the man looking for his Satguru, “When the Holy Men say which tree the twigs come from, you contradict them. When they say it’s a mango, you say, “No, the twigs are from a peepul tree.” The Saint also said to the man, “If you do that and they get angry, they are not a Satguru. The one who will stay calm and will say, “Maybe, it is possible that the twigs are from a peepul tree," will be a Satguru.

The man did as the Saint told hm. As he was asking, “Which tree does this plant, this twig belong,” the Gurus, the Holy Men got very frustrated and furious saying, “Why don’t you see that the twig is from a mango branch and stop telling us all the time that it is a peepul twig, for we tell you your twigs are from a mango tree.” Among them, however, there was one man, very simple, who stayed calm while quietly eating his food. The man asked the calm Holy Man, “What about you dear sir, reverent sir, from which tree did this twig come?” The holy man said, “Well, it may be possible the twig came from a peepul tree.” Very calmly, and very serenely with a smile, the Holy Man said this.

You see, the quality of calmness is very important. How can a Master guide if he is not calm? And this is the greatness of a Satguru. No matter what happens, he will always stay calm. Like I said at Gurupurnima, when you have questions, the best way is to ask the Satguru or the Guru directly. When you have found your Satguru and you see this quality of calmness, then surrender and stop asking questions. Like I always say, the mind constantly is full of doubt. If you don’t give the Satguru the chance to hold your hand and guide you out of it [the mind], you will move away and you will lose a chance.

The feeling of joy that you have when the Satguru is in front of you, the same is reflected back to you from the Satguru. The Satguru will never show the feeling, but you will feel it. The Satguru knows that but he wants you to know it. The Satguru has already found God; He has already realized the Divine and he wants you also to realize God. That is why you look for him. Try to feel always with your heart and try to listen to your inner self. When your inner self reveals something, the mind will always say, "Oh no, no, no, no, it’s not like that; it has to be like this. The mind will try always to divert you from this path, from the reality. That’s why you have to show the mind that you are the master instead of the mind being the master of you.

Babaji's Imprinting Technique - An Explanation and Example

Swami Vishwananda in Vrindavan, India 2008

From my experiences in this life, I want to share that love conquers everything. It is my hope that through my sharing, it will inspire the people to open their hearts to the Divine. May we desire to understand that equally we all are part of the Divine and are here to achieve this greater Truth and to realize our Self. Thus, we make The Divine our goal and do everything with love and then we always will be happy.

Jagadguru Mahavatar Babaji
Imprinting Technique - Babaji: Being Immortal and appearing physical only rarely when He wishes, and existing beyond the range of human-eye and human-ear perception unless he wills it, how do people hear Babaji? Mahavatar Babaji communicated to the venerated Indian saint, Lahiri Mahasaya: "When one realizes his unity with mankind, all minds become transmitting stations through which he can work at will."

It is as if what happens between Babaji and myself when He transmits is like an invisible present day computer with a camera and audio with which we hear and see each other. I can say that it is like vibrational particles of light imprinted into my brain waves that literally translate into crystal clear American-English language words (not sound as we term 'audible').

For example: I sat at my computer contemplating what to write for the first post of Virtual-Babaji-Vishwananda Blog’s “About Utpalavati”: I had meditated and was still in the meditative state looking deep within for inspiration and what to write. At the exact moment that I felt complete with what I had written, an audible male voice, contained within a sound similar to the vibration of a tuning fork, said: You don't hear this one, do you? I recognized the sound and vibration of those words as what I know to be the Voice of Babaji. Intrigued as to what the meaning of the words could be, I tuned into the vibration of Babaji's Voice. Then Mahavatar communicated His first message for this blog through using His Divine Imprinting Technique that he identifies as "mind to mind and heart to heart communication” (as Babaji explained to Lahiri Mahasaya).

After I heard Babaji's audible voice, I realized that He had been attempting to speak with me using His Imprinting Technique and I had been so engrossed in my writing that I had "tuned him out!" Babaji appeared somewhat amused and I felt as if I were five years old and refusing to listen to my mother saying, "No, you cannot have candy now, it is time for dinner." True to His promise that He can work with any mind as a transmitting station and since I was not 'listening' to His Imprinting Technique communication, Babaji said clearly, with sound, into my human left ear: You don't hear this one, do you? (Meaning I did not hear his Imprinting Technique words which are internally audible). Then after Babaji spoke audibly in my ear, I listened internally to his usual method of communicating wherein he used His usual Imprinting Technique to give His first letter for this blog."When one realizes his unity with mankind, all minds become transmitting stations through which he can work at will." —Jagadguru Mahavatar Babaji

Be Still and Know That I Am God

Maybe . . . There is a YouTube Video . . .
Revealing Every Subject
. . .
Or there soon will be
. . .
Maybe . . .

Yesterday, Mahavatar Babaji wrote an Open Communication to the public in general. He spoke of a collective awakening underway on Earth and that it is divinely on schedule. He communicated that the result of this awakening will be that mankind will realize this quote from the Christian Bible: “Be still and Know That I Am God.”

Last night We “happened upon” this beautiful, mystical Video:
Be Still and Know that I Am God!

Open Communication From Mahavatar Babaji

Gurudev Swami Vishwananda & Mahavatar Babaji
Teachers of Virtual-Babaji-Vishwananda Blog

Babaji Communicates Today -- A Collective Awakening Is Underway: A great awakening within mankind is in progress and it is divinely on schedule. Therein, mankind will know the meaning, through inner divine experience, the promise in the Holy Christian Bible: Oh, man, be still and know that I Am God. It is to that place within you that we wish to lead you in our writings on this blog. It is truth that we have no other purpose. Those of you, who resonate from the heart when you read this blog, and when you meet me in your meditations, be at peace. I know who you are.

Those few who are agitated, furious, questioning and beleaguered with doubts brought forward from many lifetimes, I know who you are also, and I wish you peace. And if you open your heart to the possibility that I am who I say I am, given the names by mankind, who have met me in the various dimensions of vibration available to man, I can help you find this peace. Even the few of you who think and identify me with other vibrations than my own and think you hate that energy, know that I love you as I AM THAT I AM! And in that, and in essence, we are one!

Know that those of you who are not enlightened, as remembered yet, and judge whether others are speaking with me or not, Mahavatar Babaji, I know who you are. You have my compassion for your self-created suffering and pain. Don’t you long to leave the pain and suffering you have created for yourself in the dust-bin of history? I can help you; you have only to be willing to allow it. Don’t you long to be free? This help I am offering does not in any way need to be paraded in public or over this internet. The internet communication serves mainly to lead you where you actually may hear, “the still small voice within,” And one may meet me in meditation in the privacy of just you and me. And I welcome any of you who choose that method of communication as well as herein.

Those of you who stay in the morass of energy known as criticism, mistrust and conceit in your knowing or what you think you know, must first break free of those energies and be willing to sit in silence. You must opt to still your mind-chatter and your criticism of what “others” have done both to you and people you know or think you know. Only then will you create the possibility of finding the peace that some of those you criticize already have created for themselves. Only then may you find this peace we are speaking about.

Don’t you long for peace and freedom? Can’t you perceive that some of those whom you criticize the harshest and most frequently have found a great measure of this peace for which you diligently are searching. Please become aware that you are searching in a place where peace does not exist. In your heart you know that I know who you all are and I love you still! Once again, I offer you my help and I send you my blessings always and forever. Be aware, and I am perfectly certain, no one, and I mean no vibration or energy has power over you unless you self-create giving the power away in your own mind. I am offering to help you wake up and take responsibility for that, those of you who have this mind-chatter within ye. I AM THAT I AM! —Babaji

Postscript: This communication was posted four hours ago: Babaji says now: "Some of you have been asking within and I have heard you and am now responding! By Open Communication, I mean in perfect truth --- My Open Communication post is written to the public in general, and it is not sealed, but is open, frank and honest in that it is not trying to hide anything or deceive anyone."

Diwali Darshan

Swami Vishwananda
Swami Vishwananda gave Diwali Darshan last night at Springen on October 17, 2009, the lunar calendar day for this year’s Diwali Festival of Lights. Next year’s Diwali 2010 date will fall within the lunar calendar on November 5. Gurudev gave a pre-Darshan talk relating to the necessity of controlling the mind of man on his way to enlightenment. Swami said that man makes himself miserable and his life difficult unless he learns to control the mind. Conquering the mind is essential on the Bhakti Marga Path, the way of devotion to God and the Divine within, that Swami Vishwananda both follows and teaches His devotees and disciples. After His talk, Swami Vishwananda guided everyone in a beautiful and helpful meditation.

In late afternoon and before Darshan, a Lakshmi Puja was performed. Many petite oil lamps were lit and placed in the temple windows to welcome the Divine Mother Goddess, Maha Lakshmi.

Diwali Festival of Lights Celebrations

Swami Vishwananda Celebrating Diwali
Diwali Festival of Lights: Across India people celebrate Diwali via symbolic diyas or kandils (colorful paper lanterns) as an integral part of Diwali decorations. Rangoli, decorations made from colored powder are also popular during Diwali.

While Diwali is popularly known as the "festival of lights", the most significant spiritual meaning is "the awareness of the inner light". Central to Sanatana Dharma is the assertion that there is something beyond the physical body and mind which is pure, infinite, and eternal, called the Atman [soul]. Just as we celebrate the birth of our physical being, Diwali is the celebration of this inner light, in particular the knowing of which outshines all darkness (removes all obstacles and dispels all ignorance), awakening the individual to one's true nature, not as the body, but as the unchanging, infinite, immanent and transcendent reality. With the realization of the Atman comes universal compassion, love, and the awareness of the oneness of all things (higher knowledge). This brings Ananda (inner joy or peace).

Deepavali celebrates this through festive fireworks, lights, flowers, sharing of sweets, and worship. While the story behind Diwali varies from region to region, the essence is the same - to rejoice in the inner light (Atman) or the underlying reality of all things (Brahman).

Diwali – Five Day Festival of Lights
Diwali or Dīpāvali (In Sanskri means a row of lamps) the most colourful Indian festival, is celebrated on the Kartika Amavasya or New Moon, which falls during October/November. This year it is on the 17th October, 2009. Rituals and celebrations as well as the main day vary all over the world. Diwali, as the festival is known today comes from the Sanskrit word Deepavali meaning garland of lights. There are many legends and important events associated with this highly auspicious day. Hence it is said that any Pooja, mantra japa or stotra recital on this day gives 100 times more benefits. Actually it is a 5 day festival with each day having its own legend, customs and rituals.

Diwali Interesting Historically :
1. Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth, took refuge in the ocean of milk when the gods were sent into exile. Lakshmi was reborn during the churning of the ocean known as Ksheera Sagara Manthan by the Devas and Rakshasas.

2. Lord Vishnu rescued Lakshmi from the prison of King Bali on this day.

3. On the day before Deepavali, Lord Krishna killed the demon king Narakaasura and rescued 16,000 women from his captivity. The celebration of this freedom is the Diwali - a victory festival.

4. The Pandavas returned from their 12 years of vanavas on this day and the people celebrated the day by lighting lamps [Gita].

5. Lord Rama killed Ravana on the Vijaya Dashami and returned to Ayodhya on this day and the people of Ayodhya celebrated the occasion by decorating the entire city with lamps[Ramayana].

6. On this day Lakshmi goes around visiting her devotees and sets up residence in the house she finds best spruced up and most hospitable. Diwali is an occasion for cleaning, painting the walls, decorating the floor with attractive rangoli designs.

7. The great king Vikramaditya was coronated on the this day which started the Vikrama era and the people of Ujjain celebrated it by lighting lamps.

8. This is also the nirvana or passing away day of the great Mahavira Jain. The lighting of the lamps is a symbolic substitute for the light knowledge that was extinguished with Mahavira's passing.

9. Deepavali is celebrated as the homecoming of Rama after a 14-year exile in the forest and his victory over Ravana at many places of India and Nepal. The people of Ayodhya (the capital of his kingdom) welcomed Rama by lighting rows (avali) of lamps (dĭpa), thus its name: dīpāwali.

10. In South India, it marks the victory of Krishna over Narkasura. Over time, this word transformed into Diwali in Hindi and Dipawali in Nepali, but still retained its original form in South and East Indian Languages. In Dravidian languages it is called as Deepavali and the same is used in Malaysia and Singapore.

11. In Janism, Diwali marks the attainment of nirvana by Mahivira.

12. Deepavali has been significant in Sikhism since the illumination of the town of Amritsarrcommemorating the return of . Sikhs often refer to Diwali also as Bandi.

13. The festival is also celebrated by Buddhists in
Nepal, particularly the Newar Buddhists.

In India and Nepal, Diwali is now considered to be a national festival, and the aesthetic aspect of the festival is enjoyed by most Indians and Nepalese regardless of faith.

Mere 18 Inches From Mind to Heart

Himalayas
Swami Vishwananda: “The Divine did not create the human mind to make us a slave to it. Our mind is here to enable us to analyze what we need to do in our daily lives. In whatever we do and wherever we are in life, our mind is always working and analyzing everything in the outside world. Eventually, the mind has to be completely focused on the way to the heart. Then one will find the way to love.” [In the human form, it is approximately a mere 18 inches from mind to Heart]

Mahavatar Babaji: I reiterate what the Christ taught you: 'Behold, I stand at the door [of your heart] and knock. It is your choice to open the door and invite me in or not.' [Excerpted from Unity With The Divine]

Socrates: Teacher of Enlightenment

Socrates Execution
Mahavatar Babaji responds to a VBV Comment: In this blog we guide you beyond the mind-field of questions and philosophical discussion. It is within the heart of man where your freedom lies. And as I wrote to you in Unity With The Divine and as I will say to you throughout eternity until you ALL reach this vibration: You must go beyond the mind into the depths of the heart of man to locate and secure your liberation, your freedom, your enlightenment.

"Rather than upholding a status quo and accepting the development of immorality within his region, Socrates worked to undermine the collective notion of "might makes right" so common to Greece during this period [when Socrates lived]. Plato refers to Socrates as the "gadfly" of the state (as the gadfly stings the horse into action, so Socrates stung Athens), insofar as he irritated the establishment with considerations of justice and the pursuit of goodness. His attempts to improve the Athenians' sense of justice may have been the source of his execution. (Quote from Wikipedia)

My dear friends of this blog, and especially to the one who wrote the comment reproduced below, I say to you all: I love you and my only purpose in writing here is to assist those of you who "resonate from the heart" with my vibration and my words of guidance to you. Thereby, I may support the mission of Swami Vishwananda. I AM HIS GURU! To the questioner: Please read "between the lines" for my response to you.

Anonymous said... Dear Babaji, Guruji and Utpalavati,I would like to know if possible, how about a person in ancient Greece or in the ancient Roman Empire, that did call/worship e.g. the Goddess Hera/Juno with love? Would this also have been bhakti in some sense? Would the Divine Mother take the form of Hera/Juno and appear to that person in case the person did have intense love and faith? Usually we call these people pagans, and as for the Romans we also bear in mind that they slaughtered many Christians. But how about their so-called pagan Gods? In my imagination God doesn't mind and does not distinguish between so-called pagan and non-pagan, but He/She just watches out as to whether the person loves his or her God/Goddess or not? Socrates was an enlightened Master using the philosophical mind-set of man at his time of birth and death on planet Earth to guide mankind, who would resonate and listen to his words and the example of his life, to thereby secure their own liberation. The quote above is an example of one of the ways Socrates attempted to guide mankind beyond the mind and into the heart. He provided a living example through his life action of moving beyond the mind and philosophical discussions into the heart and living life from the heart.

All of You may do the same! Today in your time a master teacher may take another example of the mind-set of humanity at this time to live his life as an example for all of you. A master teacher may come to you using man's stumbling blocks of power, wealth, fame , or man's sexual tendencies as his tool to teach even as Socrates used the social condition of "might is right" to teach in his time. Be alert for a teacher who takes on such an example in your time and judge him not, but rather attempt to understand what he is teaching you about you. Socrates was executed for his stand in providing a mirror for man of his time. Christ was executed for his teaching of his time. And so it goes, and so it is in the annals of man's slow progression into light!

Longing for the Beloved - Call Him by Name

Narayana - Lord Vishnu
Swami Vishwananda Talk - Continued from yesterday: Chant the Narayana Maha Mantra. I have explained many times the power of the name of Narayana. If you want to attain Him, chant His name. The more you chant Narayana, the more you will draw Him closer to you. When you call somebody, you will not just say “Come here;” you will call the person by name. The Divine also has many names and many forms. When you call Him, He will come in the form you call Him. Often people ask me, “Listen, if I pray to Shiva, should I really change?” Actually, ‘No’, you do not need to change, but your love has to grow more and more. If you call Him as Shiva, He will come to you in that form. If you call Him as the Divine Mother, He will come as the Divine Mother.

Maha Lakshmi - painting in Kali Temple - Springen
Actually in reality, you will find Him deep inside your heart as the form of love, pure love, unconditional love. This is something that the mind can’t understand because the mind always expects something. The mind always has a limit, so you have to cross over this limit.

It happens so often in the life of people that when the grace of God comes upon them, they don’t understand anything. They try to understand, but yet they can’t understand. I have met so many people who have told me, “Oh, You know I love God but I don’t understand Him. I don’t know why I love Him so much.” You have to become that state wherein even if you want to understand Him, you can’t understand. You see Him in front of you and want to grasp Him, but you can’t. Imagine what would happen? And when you can’t take hold of Him, it drives you crazy for Him. And that's the best, because deep longing makes it even sweeter [a kind of bitter sweetness].

Guru Dev Swami Vishwananda
Our soul is always longing for Him, always. There is not a time when the soul does not Long for the Beloved , whether we are consciously aware of it , or we are not aware of it. But our true self, the soul-consciousness is always aware of The Beloved. So, try to see like Christ always said, “If you have eyes to see, you see.” Try to see with the eyes of the heart and try to hear deep inside of you. Whatever is inside of your heart, there will be no doubt about it. Whatever comes from your mind will create a lot of questions. Even if the mind says the same thing as the heart there will be many, many questions and the mind will not feel free. That’s why in meditation you strive to go into the calmness of yourself and listen deep inside. You endeavor to attain calmness deep within you, and you strive to attain this divine love that you have inside of you.

Longing For the Beloved One

Guru Dev Swami VishwanandaThe Saints know about the pain of Mystical Love. Their hearts pain to be with the Divine; they cry for it.

Love is not always hurting; love can be joyful also! There is a mystical joy, a mystical form of love that you may also discover in pain. This pain is not a pain like one saying, “Oh, I’m having pain.” For example, like someone saying, “Yesterday I went to a certain place and I hit myself and now I have pain.” The mystical kind of love is not a physical pain and it’s not an emotional pain that you create with your mind like saying, “Yes, I am in pain today.” Mystical Love is painfully intense [bittersweet].

Read the life of St. Francis. Do you know how much he was crying always? But even Mystical Love is not always that intense. We are speaking now about the pain of love, but St. Francis also had great joy. This sensitivity [the longing for the Divine] can also manifest itself as being painful. It is not really painful in the normal sense that we know pain to be, rather it is an intense Mystical Love, a longing for the Beloved One.

The Word 'Love' Hides Mystery & Secrets

The expression of Divine Love, pure consciousness is who you really are! There are many ways of attaining Divine Love, this unity, this realization of who we really are. Each person has their own way, but all paths are the same. At the end you will experience the same love, the same happiness. For sure, some ways are longer and some are shorter. Some people like taking a short way and some people like taking a long way. Do you like the long way or the short way? Of course the shorter way is better, and the quickest way to Divine love and unity is just to love.

This word ‘love’ hides a lot of mystery and a lot of secrets. This expression of Divine love, pure consciousness, is who you really are. So many times we forget about it. We try to be separate from it. We have to continuously remind ourselves that we are this love. No matter what comes along the way, remember that we are this love. We are here to realize this love and to share this love.

How do we realise this love? We meet someone and say to the person, “I love you.” How many times in your life have you said to somebody else, “I love you?” You have said this to others many times. But have you ever said to your own self: “I love myself!” When it comes to loving one’s own self, people say, “It is difficult.” It’s difficult because you see all the negative qualities of your outer self, forgetting that this true Self, who you really are, is just pure love. So to give love, first you should realise love with your own self. Start loving yourself. Some people think loving oneself is very egotistic, but to love the Self is not to love the body. Loving one’s self is transcending the physical aspect. Through love you will develop trust and patience. If you have these three: love, trust and patience, you have everything else.

Darshan Vienna Talk & Comment Response

Swami Vishwananda Darshan Vienna
We are happy to say that many more people came to Gurudev's Darshan in Austria than were expected. However, this necessitated that the people come into the hall in groups as the size of the room dictated. Happily, everyone had the opportunity to spend time with Gurudev and receive his blessing.

Excerpt of Swami Vishwananda’s Talk at Vienna Darshan, October 10, 2009: The heart is much stronger than the mind and therefore the mind cannot comprehend the heart. God can only be found within the heart.

Once, a King sent his two sons to the most highly reputed ashram in his kingdom. After some years of teaching and training at the ashram, the King's two sons returned to their father. The King asked his sons to tell him what they had learned about the “Self” during their long years of study away from home. The first son sang mantras and praises of the Divine. Weeping, the second son lowered his head and looked at the ground. The wise King, reflecting His own Divinity, told the people of his kingdom: “My second son has received the blessing of the Divine: He has received a glimpse of the Divine!"

God is like the King in his palace. When someone enters the palace [God’s Consciousness], in the first room is a well-dressed man. He asks: “Are you the King?”The man answers “No!”

The person continues from room to room, each room more “splendid” than the last. He asks his question in every room: “Are you the King?” Eventually he reaches the seventh room. And in this seventh chamber the King is sitting on a high throne with surrounding splendor and with his royal household in attendance. The visitor has nothing else to say, no more questions! He knows that is he standing in front of the King.

The person going through seven rooms asking, “Are you the King?” is like the same experience everyone has of the Divine [the King] going through the seven different levels or chakras within the human form. Each chakra becomes more and more “splendid” and one asks questions in every chakra. Like the man who found the answer to his question with the King sitting in the seventh room, finally when one reaches the seventh chakra , he has found the answers to his questions. Then there are no more questions, because all the questions arise from the mind. By the time one reaches the Seventh Chakra, the heart is experiencing God!

Swami Vishwananda
Anonymous says: Dear Babaji, Dear Guruji: You are like magnets for me. But I am living on this Earth with pain and happiness. There is duality around me every day, and sometimes I would like to run away without end, although not knowing where to go. I see You living in a way which seems not manageable to me. Sometimes it´s too much but I can´t stop loving You. This makes me angry.

Utpalavati Says: To this part of your Comment we offer for your contemplation the following familiar story told again recently by Swami Vishwananda. Perhaps placing yourself in the role of Yashoda [mother of Krishna] will provide some understanding of your relationship with our Beloved Gurudev. Remember that this simply is a suggestion and we request also that you search inside yourself for guidance.

Swami Vishwananda: The Lord is Bound by Love Only– Yashoda Attempts to Bind Bala Krishna With Rope: When we look at the life of Krishna, what could bind Him? He was always free, ever free; He was born free. The only thing that could bind or limit Him was the love of His devotees. There is this beautiful story of when Krishna was small. He was very naughty, always breaking all the makhan, butter pots. [Swami said once, “…butter in Krishna’s day was really makhan, whipped cream, you know…and fresh!]. Krishna annoyed everybody because He wanted the center of attention to be on Him only, nothing else.

One day Yashoda had Krishna on Her lap and She had some milk on the fire. The milk started to boil and spill into the fire. How great was this milk? It was crying even that the Lord is so near to Him, but yet it could not come to Him. So Yashoda let Krishna down and rushed to remove the milk. Here you see the Lord, who even great Yogis try to attain through meditation and penance and they can’t attain Him. Here He is playing on the lap of Yashoda, but yet she let herself be distracted to the outside forgetting about the Lord. So what did Krishna do? He went in and broke the pots of buttermilk and started feeding it to the monkeys.

When Yashoda came and saw the pots were broken and monkeys all around, she knew that Krishna had done this. Then she started to look for Krishna. Asking, “Where is Krishna,” She ran searching for Krishna everywhere. Of course Krishna with His little legs started running around, but she could not catch Him. So finally Krishna let Himself be caught by Yashoda and She tried to tie Krishna to a pillar with a rope. Every time She tried to tie Him, the rope was short by some inches. So each time she got more rope, but again it was too short. She tried more rope, again it was too short. Yashoda became really, really tired. Seeing how much love she had at that moment, Krishna said, “Okay, I succeeded in getting her attention fully on me.” Then He let Himself be tied with Yashoda’s rope [representing Her Love]. Love is the only thing that binds or ties the Lord.

Anonymous Continues: “…Also I don´t know why somebody has to give up everything to be loved from Jesus Christ or God. He is the One who gives everything. Why is it necessary to give up somebody who I love (for example) to receive His Love? . . . Guruji, You are killing me.

Utpalavati says: To this part of your Comment we offer the following suggestion — We request that again you go inside and search for your own guidance. . . When a teacher is “killing” someone it is traditionally understood that He is “killing” the human ego. When a devotee gives up “somebody” to attain God or the Love of the teacher, a representative of God, it is traditionally understood that the spiritual aspirant does NOT necessarily need to give up the love or the person but instead gives up the illusion that is maya…that is the “attachment” to the person.

We offer the following excerpt of a talk given by Swami Vishwananda as an example of His teaching on detachment from the ego and maya:

Swami Vishwananda Speaks About the Freedom of Detachment: Often people talk about liberation or freedom. When we talk about freedom, what are the things we think about at first? We think about freedom of our country, our political freedom, our economic freedom. But the Inner freedom is the most important among all the different kinds of freedom, and that is what mankind really wants to achieve. This is the reason why each soul has come on Earth. They come to achieve this freedom, this love of God.

Let me interpret this kind of freedom: If you want something you shall have it. But you can also detach from the desire by your own will. You see, mankind desires many things, but when they have them they get attached to them. This attachment brings unhappiness. The more you are attached to things which are limited or not eternal, the more you feel miserable. You lose this inner freedom. You become limited in the mind. You become limited with your body, which in turn makes your soul limited. So, to free one’s self, one must surrender the body, mind and soul to God, to the Unlimited.

It’s true that everybody can’t renounce the world and live only for God, but you can continuously try to remember God wherever you are. Remember that the soul inside you is the light of God. The more you think of yourself being part of this light of God, this great love, the more you will reflect this love. But the more you think that you are just a normal human being, the more you will just be a normal human being with all of its limited qualities and you cover all of your divine qualities. Take time every day, just five minutes, to be with your Self. Forget about the world outside, forget everything. Forget about your husband or wife; forget about all your relationships with the outside. Only think of the relationship with your Self.

Do you know what treasure you will find? You will find the biggest treasure of all, a treasure that nobody can steal from you. And that treasure is love. Love is such a big gift. We feel it with our heart, we know it with our mind, but to realize it is to become One with this love. To spread this love, unconditionally is the aim of mankind. The more you spread it and the more you reflect it, the more you will discover your Self.

With The Arrival of Swami Vishwananda

In Greece recently in rare R & R moments:
Swami Vishwananda and Pritala (Swami Vishwavijayananda)

With the arrival of Swami Vishwananda in my life, I feel the love of God more and more in my heart. God’s love is an eternal flame that may grow every day until it envelops everything. The most important thing I have learned from Swami is to love. Love is the most beautiful thing that exists.Swami teaches us to love everyone unconditionally, all the time. In the end you always give love to God for He is in everything and every being. He is also the source of love. Love does not judge, love is patient, love is forever. When you love, God resides in you and you reside in God.At the end of your day, as at the end of your life, when you view all the good deeds you have done on Earth, the times you have loved will shine like precious jewels! —Pritalananda
[Excerpted from Blossoming Of The Heart]

Mahavatar Babaji says: When you feel love for that which you speak such as a Divine name, it IS the love from your own heart connected with the Oneness of Divinity which will transport you into the realms or vibration of Divine Consciousness. [Excerpted from Unity With The Divine]

Swami Vishwananda Requests Support For Balasai Baba

From Springen October 9, 2009:
Last weekend the whole region around Kurnool where Balasai's ashram is located was flooded.
Following is an excerpt from a published request for assistance:
"...10.000 houses and huts have been completely destroyed. Countless people have been left homeless in Kurnool and its environment. Alongside the raging river everything is devastated. Great suffering. The ashram was under water up to the second floor. The temples- the old one as well as the new one- were invisible. Nothing is left. Suffering with no end. Also Baba has nothing left. His rooms have been flooded up to the ceiling- also those on the first floor. Everything is gone. In spite of this the trust is distributing food every day to hundreds of people for that the homeless do not have to starve..."
