Bhakti Yoga - The Importance - Sri Swami Vishwananda

All that we do in our daily life, what we work, our spiritual path is only to attain one thing – to attain the purity of Love, to become self-realised. But to attain this purity, to attain and to realise the Self, one can’t without devotion. Only through Bhakti. Without Bhakti it’s difficult. Like Shree Krishna said in the Gita; “Cast away all dogma. Cast away all from the mind, and surrender to me.” Then only true love can be realised. Otherwise, if you see, with Jnani, it's only in the mind. I don’t say it’s not good, its good. But it will lead you only to a certain level. Karma Yoga is very good to help. But if you’re not helping with the right attitude, it still brings you only to one level. Whereas Bhakti; devotion, what Shree Krishna said to Uddhava; “ Above all the Yoga, I prefer Bhakti Yoga. I prefer the Yoga of devotion where the devotees and the Lord become one, when there is no difference that stays.

Mahavatar Babaji and Sri Yukteswar Giri:

Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, Guru of Paramahansa Yogananda, was given the assignment by Mahavatar Babaji to write a book entitled The Holy Science: “The purpose of this book is to show as clearly as possible that there is no difference in the truths inculcated by the various faiths, that there is but one method by which the world, both external and internal, has evolved, and that there is but one Goal admitted by all scriptures". [To find Divine Love within the Heart ... and To Attain The Divine].

“Life and Death come under the control of the yogi who perseveres in the practice of Pranayama. In that way he saves his body from the premature decay that overtakes most men, and can remain as long as he wishes in his present physical form, thus having time to work out his karma in one body and to fulfill (and so get rid of) all the various desires of his heart. Finally purified, he is no longer required to come again into the world under the influence of Maya. Darkness, or to suffer the “second death.” -Sri Yukteswar Giri: The Holy Science.

Sri Yukteswar writes, in the above regard, that The Christian Bible teaches the same:

I Corinthians: I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord; I die daily.

Revelation 2:10: John writes – “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet.

Revelation 2:11: “Christ Jesus speaks: “I am Alpha and Omega [the beginning and the end –no, birth, no death], the first and the last. What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia: Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.”

Sri Swami Vishwananda:
After death, you have to go again through life, but there is always opportunity. There’s opportunity wherever you are. When He puts you here He, also, always plans everything for you, but, also, you have your plan. That’s the difference. So why do you have to wait for dying? You can look for the opportunity right now. On this right moment you can look for opportunities and hold them, and rise, and let this Love guide you. Let your heart guide you. Don’t allow the mind to guide you, because the mind will always corrupt you.”

This Picture of Mahavatar Babaji was given, by Babaji Himself, to a Devotee long ago. This picture is Beloved by our Gurudev, Sri Swami Vishwananda. Swami says that all Babaji's disciples have a picture of him but are not allowed to show it. This picture came mysteriously into public view in the summer of 2011. It seems Babaji wants this picture shared publicly since this time.

Cosmic Consciousness dictates a resonance with the Earth vibration first, which allows access to the higher frequencies. It is said, “Forgive, O Lord, my little jokes about Thee, and I’ll forgive Thy great big one on me.” There is some truth and trust in this saying. Man lives in the illusionary world where he thinks he is bound to the body form. This is like a cosmic joke of the Divine. In truth you are forever free. You simply must locate Divine Love in your heart, that which you truly are, and then you are free to live in Cosmic Consciousness, unbound by anything!

Sri Swami Vishwananda Initiated His first two Swaminis Yesterday

Two Swaminis Initiated

Yesterday, Sri Swami Vishwananda Initiated His first two Swaminis: Mahdevi of London whose name was given as VishwaKarunaAnandaMa and Utpalavati from America whom Mahavatar Babaji and Swami Vishwananda gave the name, VishwaLakshmiAnandaMa. Swami informed everyone that this was Mahavatar Babaji's wish that He Initiate these two Swaminis into His Sampradaya of Ramanuja (Sri Lakshmi Initiated Ramanuja as the first Swami in this lineage).

Sri Swami Vishwananda has this picture of Mahavatar Babaji, presently only, in His ashram, Shree Peetha Nilaya. He has said that now we should use this picture of Babaji. Swami recently told the story of this picture in Poland at a Satsang there. See the video below.

Love's Pearls of Wisdom - Mahavatar Babaji

When boys and girls run and play they accumulate camaraderie that sometimes lasts for a lifetime. Let it be known to you that even that friendship will end one day. Each time one incarnates, one comes into Earth life with a different personality. The soul is the same and even the mission is life may be the same but there will be variations each time one enters. We do recognize our past play- mates but it is a strong attraction, we think, from the present.

The aim in situations like this is to spoon-feed the relationship instead of running head-long into love with the person. This rushing gets one into much emotional turmoil in life. Be brave and true to your inner Guru and nurture such relationships slowly. In this way you will proceed with caution until you have learned the lessons you were meant to learn in the present. Be cautious, loving and true to your Self.

Prayer Vibrates on a Certain Level – Sri Swami Vishwananda

Whenever we pray, we pray toward the outside, we say God is here and we are apart. We should stop really separating the Divine and us. Try your best always to pray. It doesn’t matter which kind. If you talk with God, you talk with your True Self inside you. Do it from the heart.

We do our prayers in quantity by burning lots of candles and lots of lights and saying to God, “Here, this is my prayer to You, God!” But what God really wants is the quality of your prayer. God wants our prayers to come from the heart without any doubt or negativity.

Every prayer, every thought, every action, vibrates on a certain level. Raise the frequency of vibration; raise it in your consciousness. You are an instrument of the Divine. Let us show that we are this instrument, not just by saying it but also by our actions and how we welcome everything.

Dearly Beloved Master, praying to you
On this rainy night in August 2011
Brings bhakti tears of gratitude
For all that You are, and all
That You ever lovingly give.

Oh, such sweet memories from
Down through the centuries
Come to mind of Your Loving Grace and
Your commitment to the human souls
To stay with us until the time of freedom
For everyone . . .every soul, every
Woman, man and child on Planet Earth.

The wind is blowing and the rain is pouring
On this dark, mystical night in time,
When I am at the ashram, Shree Peetha Nilaya,
Of my beloved Satguru, Sri Swami Vishwananda.
And He is away … elsewhere in the world … somewhere.

I think of Him, and I think of You,
As my knees bow to pray in the quite of the night,
So long and lonely while hearing …
Seeing … the howling wind
And the cold, down-pouring rain.

Then as my soul vibration blends with You in prayer,
I find solace in Your Love and comforting Heart.
Then I know, once again, what eternally is true:
Our hearts beat as one always,
Even as all hearts that choose to be in synch,
Beat in tune with Your Heart.
And I know this when I pray, meditate and write,
As You have instructed me so to do.

I feel light as a feather, and joy floods
My soul as my heart recognizes Your

In Divine Attunement … in harmony, like

Thinking With the Heart

You try to imagine how close God is with the mind. It’s difficult, isn’t it? The mind will never let you imagine God. When you start thinking with the mind of the heart, then you may realize Divinity completely. How does one think with the heart? Meditation is an important element in thinking with the heart as you sit with yourself in silence.

Jesus said, “When you pray, go to the darkest corner of your house, close yourself in and talk with your Father.” Christ meant for you to go into the inner chamber of your heart and speak with God. Talk with your true Self, and you will receive an answer. So, what exactly is in this inner chamber of the heart? Therein is just love, nothing else!

Windows of time open to reveal the mysterious secrets of a deep mountain canyon with evergreen trees willingly growing on the hillsides. A stream rushes down the valley floor. White mist floats among the trees and carressingly cloaks the stream in mystery. Let the trees represent all the experiences that have taken root in the karmic patterns of each lifetime. Let the stream symbolize the readiness of the Greater Self to recognize the continuous lifestream from one incarnation to another. Let this be the time of your life when you realize that the time to align your will with Divine Will is open to the possibility that enlightenment can be yours. In this Kali age, chanting the name of the Divine of your choice can bring enlightenment with committed sadhana.

There is a Season

Time is money.

Time is running out.

I don't have enough time.
I have too much time on my hands.
Timing is everything.
Everything is in Divine Timing.

Time is one of the elements in human conditioning that causes problems for people, in general. Yet, time works for you or against you according to how you think and feel about it. The pressures and stress one feels around time are enormous at this point in man's evolution. The question: "How can I have zero stress concerning time?" Love is the answer. Within the Love vibration lies the answer to all questions.

When one Loves, one is peaceful and works with time rather than against it. For example, you have a deadline to meet at work and the stress level rises. Take a moment of the precious time and breathe deeply for three breaths and accept that the deadline will be met or not, but you are choosing to remain calm about time. Love yourself and the fact that time will continue to be seemingly moving forward even if the deadline is met or not. Love yourself in such a way that you choose to be calm and you will be more productive than if you feel stress about such deadlines. The more you can stay within the vibration of Love, the calmer and more productive you will be.

The answer to every question is to remain in the Love Vibration no matter what is happening around you, and even as you solve the questions in life.
