Footprints In The Sands Of Time

"When the disciple is really and sincerely ready, a touch of the Master can give realization just like that."

“It is of the utmost importance on the spiritual path to be sincere in your seeking.”

Footprints In The Sands Of Time

On wings of Eagles time flies away.
Winding along the lonely road of evolution
Man flounders unsteadily until such time as he
awakens to the All In One, the One In All.

With clarity comes the dawn of awareness
Like an ocean breeze is welcome when the
Bare feet upon the ocean’s sand and shore
Feel the scorching rays of summer’s sun.

Man must travel that long, lonely road
Which, in truth, is just 18 inches
From the head to the spiritual heart in man!
Therein man may free himself of
Earth’s centuries-long freedom fight
Through surrendering to the Divinity Within.
Thereby, man lands in a no-time zone of peace
And light and Divine Love evermore!

If only 18 inches, why this journey
And why take so long?
The weary pilgrim stranger asks this, as
Along his lonely road he trudges
On his chosen way.
The length of time one stays on this life journey
From head to heart is long or short according to
Many factors man has chosen along his way.
For the pilgrim bears his heavy load of karma,
And lifetime after lifetime of suffering and pain.
Also many experiences of joy come on the
Pilgrim way of that we know as Earthly love.

Rain comes, and inevitably the sunshine follows,
While one dwells in the Earthly domain.
Never fear, for your Heavenly Father
Evermore walks with you
Like the poem, “Footprints in the Sand”.

“. . . So I said to the Lord:
‘You promised me Lord
That if I followed you,
You would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
The most trying periods of my life
There has been only one
Set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
Have you not been there for me?”

“The Lord replied:
‘The times when you have
Seen only one set of footprints
Are the times when I carried you.’”
