Shroud of Turin Burial Cloth Christ Jesus

Shroud of Turin Burial Cloth of Christ Jesus

. . . And video of Swami Vishwananda Bhakti Marga 108 Jesus Christ Song at Darshan.

The "Shroud of Turin," the 14 foot-long linen strip revered by some as the burial cloth of Jesus, is pictured at the Cathedral of Turin, Italy.

The Holy Shroud, which some believe to be the linen cloth in which Jesus Christ's body was wrapped after crucifixion, will be on display at the St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Torino, Italy, through May 23, 2010.

The shroud arrived in Torino in 1578 at the request of the Savoy family and has been at the cathedral since 1589. It has been studied for years in an effort to better understand its origin and authenticity.

This is the first time in 10 years that the shroud is on display. The church is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Reservations are required and can be made online at http://www.sindone.org/#_blank. The shroud features a faint impression of an image, the frontal and dorsal of a man who experienced death by crucifixion.
