Swami Vishwananda tells the story about the great Indian yogi Master in the 19th Century, Ramakrishna:
The great Master Ramakrishna [at the time of this story] was a priest in the temple of Dakshineshwar, India where the Divine Mother resides. Every day Ramakrishna would go to the temple to clean all the vessels which were used for prayers. Among the vessels there was one very shiny pot that every day he would give special attention, and he would clean it until it shined. One day the people were wondering “Why does he clean that vessel in such a way that he gives more importance to that vessel.”
Then they said “Let’s go and ask him.” So they asked, “Swamiji, why do you clean that one vessel like that?" Ramakrishna looked at them and said “I clean this vessel, especially, every day in this way so that it shines [reflects] what I have inside, so that it brings forth what I have deep inside in reality. Cleaning all the negativity from this pot is like cleaning what is around the soul. " Remove all the negative qualities and let the good thoughts shine. Let shine the purity of your mind.
Let shine the purity of your actions and let shine your true self. Like that, in daily life, we also have to purify and analyze ourselves. Because we have a mind that continuously judges and continuously sees the faults in other people, we have a mind that sees the faults in whatever we don’t accept. Human kind will not accept faults because humans like to put the blame on somebody else.

The Divine has sent Enlightened Masters to Earth from the realms of greater consciousness elevated in vibration beyond the vibratory level of the third dimension of this world. These Masters show you the way, a path to freedom through their life actions. By their fruits ye shall know them, the Christ taught. And So It Is!
Be ever vigilant when you decide to judge the words and actions of an Enlightened Master. Perhaps you do not yet remember that you eternally are enlightened but your purity is hidden by maya. If that is so for you, please remember that you do not have the knowledge of a Master’s intent and his range of omniscient perception. Therefore your judgment must be purified by removal of the veil of illusion, maya, before you have the discernment to become fully aware of the truth of Enlightened Masters’ words and actions.
The Masters have complete control of their minds and the five elements of Earth experience. That is the goal of each of you and all of mankind. Even a million lifetimes on the wheel of karma sometimes transpire, through individual choice, for a soul to reach the stage of Self-God-Realization. Dear Babaji, Can You speak a little about making decisions? I have spent the entire year trying to make a decision. Is it more important to make the decision for a situation where we can help others most (externally at least), or choose what seems to help our own progress the most? Is the latter one too selfish? Should one choose the more challenging option, because then maybe we will learn more? How important is it exactly to be in the physical presence of the Master?- in such a case, it is benefiting one's self, but maybe one is not doing one's utmost in helping others as much? And maybe we should rely on one's self more for our progress? I meditate every day, and try to ask in meditation, but perhaps I am not yet good enough at it.... with much love and gratitude, H
