The Guru's Love

Sri Swami Vishwananda:
The purpose of everyone’s life is to deepen the love for God and His creation. My purpose is in serving those who have set themselves this very goal - to love and realize God.

THE GURU’S LOVE 

The fruits of one’s labor
In the material world allay
The fear of anger and frustration
Against hunger and a tormented mind.

The fruits of one’s labor
On the spiritual path
Allay the fear of death
And the feared “eternal damnation."

People need to study the scriptures,
Pray and meditate and practice
Their Atma Kriya each day.
These practices will bring you joy
In life and in the life here after.

A new born baby is not joyful all the time.
He cries when he is Hungary,
When he is sleepy and
When he is uncomfortable in the body.

So it is that The Divine has a blueprint
For the human evolution of man.
It is your choice how you choose
To be in your life, either living for the
Transitory pleasures of this material world
Or praying and meditating and someday
Attaining the Divine within the Heart.

Oh Man, lay your troubles at the Guru’s feet
And love him with all your heart.
When the Love of the Guru enters your heart
You become one with him.
First the Guru’s attention must fall upon you
And then your attention can fall upon the Guru.
When the student is ready, the teacher appears.

So reach for The Divine each day
And surely He has already and always
Been reaching toward you.
