Swami Says of Maha Lakshmi

Wherever He is [Maha Narasimhadev] Maha Lakshmi is present with Him.  I know you love money very much, more than you love God, but if you show a little bit that you love Him, you will see that Maha Lakshmi will run to you, also. You see, Maha Lakshmi does not represent only wealth. The Hindu Tradition says that Lakshmi, because She is showing that money is coming out from Her hands, is the Goddess of wealth, but wealth for the spiritual people, also means spiritual wealth, which is the best wealth.  That’s what Christ said, “Don’t make your bank here on Earth, but put it in Heaven with lots of good karma. Then when you take the next life, you will have a very beautiful life. Otherwise, in your next life you will be miserable. You will be even more miserable! How many people realize that?

Maha Lakshmi’s Prasad

The woman, in despair,
Laid her head down on the table.
The red rose of springtime had long lost its bloom.
Snows of winter hung on the windowsill
In cold testimony of Old Man Winter
Wrinkling his frosty brow.
Children played on sleds and toboggans
On the hill outside the woman’s window…
And some just watched.

The shoes were placed just outside the door
On December 6 for St. Nicholas to fill…
As was Germany’s tradition
Since...well...long, long ago.
Where will come the means to fill
The children’s shoes the mother worried…
In deep and sorrowful despair.

She fed her children a meager meal
Of porridge and bread and put them to bed.
All through the night she prayed for help from above
That some kind soul would
See the empty shoes and place a little
Something in her children's St. Nicholas shoes.

As dawn came, the mother peeped into the room
Of her children ever so peacefully sleeping there.
Then she dried her eyes and went to the door
To bring the children's shoes inside to slip into them
All that she had…
One penny each for the candy store.

The woman opened the door
And in amazement and bewilderment
She wonderingly beheld. . .
Her children’s shoes overflowing...
With candy and toys and fruit and all good things.
Each shoe was filled to the brim
And spilling onto the floor.

The woman’s tears welled up again and she prayed:
“Dear Heavenly Father,
Who art in Heaven,
Hollowed be thy name…
From whence your bounty came
I shall never be certain.
Oh Heavenly Divine Mother Lakshmi,
She who gives spiritual wealth
As well as the material needs of
Her children on Earth,
Thank you from a mother’s heart
That we have learned from our
Beloved SatGuru, Sri Swami Vishwananda…
You are bound only by love.”

Note from Swamini Vishwalakshmianandama: Here on Earth we tend to think of miracles as great and small. Surely, truthfully, they are The Lord showing us Love and Love cannot be measured. As I finished this post and was ready to "preview" it and post it, a miracle occurred, which many would call small, and I say it is Maha Lakshmi's Love for all of us, her children on Earth, that this blessing came.

I had placed a video entitled, "Scarlet Ribbons" (red ribbons) at the end of this blog entry, and I wondered if it would be nice to place the title of my poem, "Maha Lakshmi's Prasad," in red, like the scarlet ribbons of the video. I did not have my hands on the computer, as I was simply reading the entry. Suddenly the title of the poem, "Mahalakshmi's Prasad," before my eyes, changed from black to red !

Swami in Jyotitmath Narshima Temple Yesterday

Thursday, Swami and the people with Him were in Jyotirmath, India. This is high in the Himalayas with the white-capped, Sacred Ganges River powerfully flowing hundreds of feet below the narrow, curving highway one is traveling.  Jyotrimath is a pilgrimage place most visit on their way to Badrinath where the Immortal Mahavatar Babaji has been seen through the centuries and it is said that He has an etheric ashram there which few have experienced. Jyotirmath is one of the four cardinal pithas established by Adi Shankara. 

“Matha Pitha Guru Deivam” is a Sanskrit mantra often chanted in Hinduism. Translated word for word it is: “Mother Father Teacher God.” The meaning of this mantra is the greatest truth, and is the order in which one offers reverence. The mantra comes from the Vedas.

First comes the mother (Matha or Mata) who gives birth to the child, thereby bringing us as a child into this world. Next comes the father (Pitha or Pita) because it is the mother who knows the truth about the father and she guides one to the father. The mother and father takes one to the teacher (Guru), and it is the Guru, through his teachings who guides one to God (Deivam or Devam), the Consciousness or self-awareness of our real self.

Jyotirmath and Badrinath remind me of Mahavatar Babaji and I spent some joyful days once in Badrinath. One morning in meditation Mahavatar transmitted the following poem. LOVE DIVINE

When time stands still

Devotees of the Lord know him

At the core of being.

Let This Be.

And let this happen to you, my friends.

Today is his 34th birthday. He has everything and the blessings and Love of the Supreme Being for His mission to Earth. What can we, His Disciples and Devotees, give Him? In his own words, when people ask: "Swami, what can we do for You?" "When you meet me, you feel so much Love. The only thing you can do for me is to spread this Love!"

GURU’S  MANIFESTED  HOLY  ASH

An urn carries sacred ash of the Guru

Spun by his human hand,

Brought forth from the depths of his soul,

The essence of his Self,

No beginning–No Birthday–No end.

His devotees gather to partake

Of the Ash—the bounty of his wisdom.

The Guru’s Ash conveys the meaning

Of life, the everlasting Truth,

Which is this. . . . . . .

Love is All There Is—the Divine.

Fish do not know the wisdom

Of the Guru’s Ash—

That they are One with the All.

In total unawareness,

They don’t know that they are fish

Swimming through God.

Humans strive lifetime after lifetime,

Even a million or more,

To reach the truth that lies within

The wisdom of the Ash.

All material things, be it Guru’s body

Or the Ash of wisdom he conveys,

Eventually return to the eternal —

“Dust thou art, and to dust

Thou shalt return."

But the Truth of the Guru’s Ash

Stands as a sentinel of the Divine —

Like an urn full of water poured from the

Guru’s hand into the tranquil, celestial

Lay Your Troubles at the Guru’s Feet

A small story about attachment to the ego and anger versus Love:

One day, a certain Guru was sitting by the sacred Ganges River in the Himalayas of India talking to his Disciple. The Guru asked his Disciple how he felt about a tragedy that had recently taken place in his life. The Disciple said, “I feel I have two tigers fighting in my heart. One tiger is a vengeful, angry, attacking one. The other tiger is a loving, compassionate one.” The Guru asked his Disciple, “Which tiger will win the fight in your heart?”

The Disciple answered wisely, “The one I feed.”

Swami Tells Story - Take this Needle to Paradise

Swami Vishwananda once told this story:

One day a great king, who used to take everything from people, even the poor, visited Guru Nanak. This Guru gave him a tiny needle and said, “My dear King, keep this needle with you and when you reach Paradise, you give this needle to me.” The king returned to his castle, so proudly, and said to the Queen, “You know I'll go to Heaven.’' Then the Queen said, “How?” The king replied: "It is Guru Nanak, who told me that I must give him this needle when I reach heaven!” The queen said, “But do you not know that when you die, you leave everything here? Go back and see him tomorrow and ask how you can give him the needle."

Early the next morning, the King went to the door of Guru Nanak and said, “Guru Nanakji, yesterday you gave me this beautiful little needle and you told me to give it to you when I reach heaven, but how can I take it there?” “Guru Nanak said, “I gave you something so tiny and asked you to bring it back to Paradise, and of course you cannot accomplish this. So, then how can you take all this wealth and all the things you have accumulated? All you can take are the good things you have done here. How much have you helped people? How much love have you given and how much have you opened your heart. These are the only things you take with you.”

It says in the Gita that you came with nothing and you will leave empty-handed. You only will take your Sadhana with you. Then work for it. And it's not for me to tell you, but it's up to you to do your best to open your heart. Try to love sincerely. Try to love with a pure mind and, then, slowly but surely that love will one day become unconditional. 

Attaining Your Master - Swami and Krishna

Choose your Master by feeling it in your heart. Recognize in Him the highest light, the Divine and the great values. Start your path to reach Him! Love unites everything. The Sun always gives without asking. The Earth gives everything without complaining. The Masters are all around; follow yours.

Love is in the Heart, but
Humility is in the mind.
“Losing your mind” is sometimes
A very good thing to do, dear friend.
To make the mind humble, 
This ferocious, big beast which
Is apart from man,
While Love lives in his Heart,
We must remember we are
Masters of the mind and not vice versa!
So remind the mind continuously
That you are its Master
And this builds up humility,
A great stride forward 
On the spiritual path,
A quality that God loves, indeed!

Mahavatar Babaji roams the sacred

Himalayan Mountains
And truthfully all over this planet
And all dimensions beyond time and space.
A new epitaph, or legend, He has 
Created, not for Himself,
But for the understanding of

Do not flagellate yourself every time 

You have a thought, but do the vice versa:
Flagellate the mind with the Divine Names.
Always remind yourself that God does everything

That He is listening always and forever.

Mahavatar's Tiger Story Connects with Devotee and Continues

Email received after this devotee read Mahavatar’s Virtual-Babaji-Vishwananda yesterday:

I have just finished reading your post for today, [Virtual-Babaji-Vishwananda, June 6, 2012]. It feels like Beloved Mahavatar is answering my thoughts. For a few days now, my husband and I have been watching videos which describe the subject Mahavatar is talking about in today's post…Mahavatar spoke about a tiger which he taught to live on prana and the tiger, subsequently, did not hunt and kill any more…the post may be read at http://www.virtual-babaji-vishwananda.blogspot.com/2012/06/love-is-supreme-mahavatar-and-swami.html 

It's amazing how everything works. Yesterday I was seriously thinking about fasting and also about the possibility of living on prana, after watching several videos on this subject. I was talking about it with my husband for hours. I also wrote about a tiger to a friend this morning describing the nature of my husband when I met him and why I painted a tiger when my husband temporarily left me and my two small boys. I saw my husband then as a tiger walking through a jungle.

My husband returned to us. I am still with my husband; I never divorced him. It was the greatest lesson for me and the greatest reward that I stayed in this marriage. During that difficult time of my life, our Heavenly Father was nursing me and He was giving me the purest nectar of wisdom. Because of my patience, now we both are harvesting the greatest blessings of our life together. One door after another is opening for us, so we are able to grow spiritually. My husband turned around 180 degrees, just like Mahavatar's tiger. It's a great miracle! 

My husband went through three major accidents, which I have to describe as miracles too. All of the accidents were lessons for him to learn through excruciating pain, suffering and long recoveries. The last accident was so severe that the Spinal Specialist told me, with the tears in his eyes, that this was Divine intervention that my husband didn't end up in a wheelchair. The doctor even showed my husband’s ex-rays to the world’s best Spinal Surgeons in the Bahamas, and they all agreed that my husband’s recovery was a miracle.

I want to tell one more detail, please: When the doctors showed me the ex-rays I knew that this was bigger than me, bigger than my husband’s strength and faith. The policeman, who escorted my husband to the hospital had tears in his eyes when he saw me. Doctors had their heads down and initially told me that my husband would never walk again and they also iformed me that he could die. I completely surrendered everything to The Divine. I gave all my worries to the highest power I was able to imagine. I felt again the whole army of light being around me. After this surrender, I never cried. I was calm and full of hope and I knew, without any doubt, that my husband would walk again.

I know now for sure that Mahavatar is helping my friend, whom I wrote about the tiger, through me, and through my many lifetime experiences. She is begging me for every word which will be able to help her with her sadhana. Mahavatar also stopped me the other day, when I was writing to a family member, who was asking me a lot of questions, and then when I answered them wholeheartedly, the relative tried to manipulate them so as to defend his own ego. It seems Mahavatar is indicating that this relative must learn another way, and Mahavatar stopped me from writing to him further about his questions.

I have tears in my eyes as I write this. I have the feeling that Mahavatar and Swami Vishwananda are always with me. They're watching my every step. They are sending the right people my way. I don't know how I can possibly thank them enough. What else can I do? They're here for us. I can't do anything for them.

While I do my writings and when I am trying to help others, at the same time I figure that I am helping myself too. I never have had these kinds of thoughts or feelings before [that is before connecting with Mahavatar Babaji and Swami Vishwananda.]

Note from Swamini Vishwalakshmianandama: After I was finished writing Mahavatar Babaji’s message yesterday for the Virtual-Babaji-Vishwananda blog, I was still thinking about the word He used, “jungle” and that it might be best to use the word, “forest” instead. Suddenly, my computer screen went blank and I could not find the “saved” copy. So, I asked Babaji if he would like to transmit the message again or should I use instead just the long complementary quote from a talk from Swami as we had planned to add with Mahavatar’s transmission.

Babaji told me he would transmit the message again. When he got to the place, for the second time, of using the word, “jungle,” I asked him if I could use “forest” instead. He very gently said, “No, I wish you to use the word, “jungle.” It was only after I received the email above that I realized that my screen went blank so that Babaji could reiterate what I already know but sometimes still question: “Babaji has a reason why he uses whatever word he chooses from my stored brain vocabulary.” I know that He gives me permission to ask Him about such words, but I was really resisting, in my mind, the fact that he was using “jungle” instead of “forest.” Without developing omniscience, we do not see the whole picture of creation as the Masters do! So, as you all may be aware, the teachers know what they are doing and we do not see the big picture always of how far their teachings will reach and how one chosen word of the teacher may be important to someone that the teacher knows will read it. The person, who painted the tiger in the experience we have shared, used the word “jungle” at the time many years ago when she painted the tiger representing her husband as they were going through trouble in their marriage.

Our teachers are always with us. I feel blessed and very humbled that I can hear Mahavatar Babaji clearly enough to be an instrument for Him to help others, like the person who wrote this email. And this person also helps others. We are all both students and teachers!

Love is Supreme - Mahavatar and Swami

Love is the answer to all questions. Love is all there is in the Universe and within the human being. When you feel fear, remember a time when you Loved someone. Remember a time when you knew, without a doubt, that you were in connection or unity with the Divine. Everyone has these moments in life, even those who are known as the lowest of the low, which is an illusion. God loves everyone equally the same. You will remember that there is no fear when you are in the presence of the Divine.

Once, a long time ago, a tiger followed me around in the jungles of India, where I was at the time. This tiger was at the point of development where it was possible that he would be born a human being in his next life. I helped him develop the yogic and God-oriented energy so that he Realized Love for all life. The tiger learned to live on the God-given life prana that is freely available to everyone who learns how to access it. He no longer needed to hunt and kill for his physical sustenance. The life-giving prana is God given and lives in the very air that is available freely to everyone, and the sunshine that shines on all equally.  

This ability is cultivated when one learns to Love truly. True Love holds no judgment, no fear, no anger, no remorse, no sin, and no desires, except the one of Loving God for the sake of Loving only. This state of spiritual development, I wish for all of you. I am coming to you all at this time in many ways, such as this Internet of the Earth development to help you Realize True Love which contains a freedom born from the Heart within.

Learn to Love Truly, for that is your reason for being born on this planet!

Very often we see Masters high up and people say, “Oh, they are very high,” We are here to serve. It’s not you who are serving the Master, but the Master who is serving you all the time. Whether you know it or you don’t know it, it’s the Master that is serving you. The Masters don’t come here for themselves. They come to lift you all up. So taking the example of the life of saints, taking the example of the life of great ones, we learn a lot; we learn how to develop selfless Love, unconditional Love and humility. 

People will say “Swamiji, you talk about humility, but how do we cultivate it?” It’s so simple, I tell you, really. It’s the simplest thing that you can do. Love is there, in the heart, but humility is in the mind. How will we make this mind, which is so ferocious - this big beast - how will we make this mind humble? We always say that it’s our mind, but we don’t say we are the mind, do we? Or do we say we are the mind? No! The truth is that the mind is something apart from man. Man is the master of the mind. Man is the master of all the negative qualities that emerge from the mind, but illusion is so great that it seems that they are the master. We need to remind the mind continuously who is the master to build up humility. 

It’s not that I am telling you to flagellate yourself every time you have a thought, no, but flagellate the mind with the Divine Names. Always remind the mind that it’s God that does everything. He’s the cause of everything. Every thought is Him. Remind the mind continuously. Whenever the mind becomes negative, say “Mind, it’s not you, it’s only the Lord himself”. It’s only God. If God didn’t allow you to think, where would you get the power to think?

In the Gita, Krishna said, “If the Lord didn’t allow the leaves to move, the leaves would not move”. Even if there was a great wind blowing, the leaves would not move. Such is the power. So if He who governs everything is inside each one of you, he’s seated in each one’s heart equally! So how can we forget about Him? So train the mind to remember that it is not this pride; it is not this big ‘I’ - which is the ego - the ‘me’, ‘myself’, you know. Transcend this pride and say “God, it’s You”, and continuously talk to Him. Whether you have an answer, whether you hear from Him or not, it doesn’t matter. Deep inside know that He’s listening. From time to time He will give you a hint. From time to time, He will give you a sign in the outside that he’s listening. Rejoice in this sign; look at this sign and say “Yes, He’s with me.” But, don’t let pride rise inside of you. 

It Is You

There’s just something about that face!
It moves the smallest child, a babe just born,
The newly married young couple
On the brink of the Urban Yogi life,
And an old person wrinkled and tired
Living in time’s doorway.

A ransom was paid so that face could appear

In our world today.
The Avatar descends from the Heavenly Realms
Unto this beautiful blue and white planet,
As observed from space. . .to put a face
On the formless God for mankind.
Then man can relate to this personal God.

One known as Vishnu appeared as a Fish,

A Dwarf, and a Part-lion—Part man,
Avatars…All!
Krishna, the appealing one,
Appeared as a beautiful blue form
To attract the eyes of humankind first,
And then His teachings followed His own plan!

Jesus appeared as an innocent babe

Lying in a simple manger, with cattle lowing nearby.
Christ became a teacher of compassionate Love,
He died on the cross of Calvary, and then he
Resurrected into Light to teach mankind
That his own spirit lives forever and ever, Amen.

Appeared in our day and our time
With . . .
Well . . .
There is just something about that
Beautiful, Beloved-ed Face
That words alone cannot describe
Or even attempt to explain!
Perhaps the closest we can convey
Is that our Master is an embodiment
Of the Divine Mother’s Heart,
That which is known as Eternal Divine Love!

So let it be as you look into His

Eyes of Eternity in Darshan. . .
Open your Heart to Love
 And then you will know also
That which cannot
Ever be spoken in words of man.
So It Is Ordained by the One. . .

When Sri Swami Vishwananda met Mahavatar Babaji

Sri Swami Vishwananda says:

 "My tradition, actually, is the tradition of Mahavatar Babaji, a great master who lives in India. I was initiated by him and other masters come through his tradition also. He is the same Mahavatar Babaji who was in Parmahansa Yogananda's lineage? Mahavatar Babaji is in this world, actually.

I am asked often to tell the story of when I first met Mahavatar Babaji. It happened when I was five years old. I ate one of the most poisonous seeds in Mauritius and I was admitted in the hospital. One day there was a man standing by the window of the hospital, outside, giving sweets to the children in the children's ward. All the children gathered around and he was giving his sweets to them. And I asked him: 'Tell me why you are here." I saw his loving eyes and I still remember his eyes. He looked deep in my eyes and said, "I came here to visit all my children and especially you. Of course, five-year-old kids don't understand much about it.

Babaji held my hand. He put one sweet and one Mauritian rupee into my hand and said, "Do you know who you are"? I really could not understand what he meant by that. And he said, 'Look behind me, do you see the light"? I looked behind him but could not see any light. I said, "No, I don't see any light". He said, "Look properly in that direction". And the second time that I looked, I saw bright light, like the sun, and around it there was another halo of light. And with a smile, he said, "That's you." It was very beautiful, but still the mind could not understand it. Then after that he said to me, I have to go now because your parents, your mum and your auntie are coming". He just disappeared. That is how I met Mahavatar Babaji for the first time.

Babaji's message is a message of love and unity. It's a message of reconciling one's self, one's mind, with one's true self, the message of self-realization. And his message is very simple. Actually, it's a message of love, how you can apply the universal love in your daily life in whatever you are doing.-

Swami Vishwananda's loving veneration of Babaji:: When you fall at the feet of Babaji, think of Babaji and pray to him. "If you could create this big palace (for Lahiri Mahasaya), if you are the source of everything, why will I need just a palace? Isn't it better than I take you completely? You are the ultimate. You are the goal of all life. Let me have you!" In the same way, do not waste your time in wanting things that you know have their limit. Desire the ultimate, and you shall have it! Remember always the Divine Love, the Divine help, the Divinity ultimately within yourself. You are an instrument of this Love, and instrument of this joy and bliss and happiness. You have to reflect it, and for you to want to reflect it, you have to really want that reflection."

Babaji: The following epistle is addressed to the disciples of Sri Swami Vishwananda; I am his guru. This Epistle serves as introduction of those of you who feel you do not know me or do not, as yet, remember me. In this age, the Kali Yuga is ascending from its long, dark descent and is now rising into the New Age of Golden Light. We encourage you to hold the hand of an enlightened Master, your teacher or your Satguru, and take the steps necessary to evolve yourselves into higher consciousness. We aim to lay out the steps to enlightenment, one by one, in the Unity with the Divine. I say to those of you reading these Epistles, Take the hand of your teacher, your guru, your Satguru; take my hand and let us walk together into the light, the life-force of The Divine. Inside all of you exists the seed crystals of Prema, (love), Sathya (truth), Dharma (right action), Shanti (peace), Unity (oneness) and Ahimsa (non-violence). Let yourselves be aware of all these in every thought, word and deed. And you will be free.

Babaji speaking about Sri Swami Vishwananda; Sri Swami Vishwananda is a different kind of Spiritual Teacher. Once he taught within the traditional structure of the Guru Disciple Relationship wherein the disciple surrenders to the Guru, body, mind and soul. I tell you truly from the heart of Babaji, even then, Swami Vishwananda knew what He was doing! He, in Divine Truth, was teaching His disciples, through life experience and a great challenge, a different kind of lesson than that of "surrendering body, mind and soul to the Guru of the past!"

Swami Vishwananda says: "I don't teach the way a normal teacher will teach you. I teach you through life, through experience, through challenges. That's how you will build up your spiritual strength. If you are not strong enough you will not be able to make it, because to get self-realization, to get God-realization you can't be weak. You have to be very, very strong to get it, that's how life is."

Dear Mahavatar,
Question: What is the best way for us to change our thoughts? It seems that when I try and change my thoughts or I experience a thought that I wish to change, I might push the thought away or try and observe it and wait for it and its energy to pass. Or is it that through these concentration meditation techniques you have given to us will help us to be able to control the mind and to as easy as you say simply change our thoughts to be their more positive counterpart... thank you sincerely and humble pranams to you, Dear Mahavatar... (Deva)

Mahavatar Babaji’s Response:
When a twin thinks thoughts, his twin often hears the thoughts and feels the feelings of his twin. It is like this with the whole human race, but less noticeable to the individual than the twin connection. You all are one and you are connected through this Oneness. The fact is that down through the centuries of the soul’s sojourn on Earth, man has lost the ability to fully think for himself, as he allows the collective consciousness on Earth to influence his thought patterns. Add to this the mass media of this present time, and confusion and mind over-load may be the result for most. One’s thoughts and actions, most times, are dictated through the pressure of “what’s in” or “out” at the moment in the mass media and collective consciousness.

When one finds the Satguru, like Sri Swami Vishwananda, one of the first things that appears in the thoughts, after the Heart-Love-Connection is made, are the conflicting ways of the Satguru’s teachings and the different “teachings” of the collective consciousness on Earth today. This includes those held closest and dearest in one’s life.

The Yogis in the Himalayas of India have given to the world from ancient times the spiritual lessons they have learned from long years of Meditation in the solitude of the caves of these high sacred mountains. These Yogic Traditions have been passed down to mankind for many centuries through the Yogis’ teachings taken to the width and depth of India and into the rest of the world in contemporary times, especially.

Through these teachings, we know two ways that are always effective in stilling the mind and changing the thoughts are: (1) Chanting the Divine Name of one’s choice continuously until even in one’s sleep this name becomes a part of the incarnational self and Self. (2) The Himalayan Yogis know from centuries of study, practice and experience, that Meditation is the Royal Highway to the Divine, who is seated in every heart. As Swami Vishwananada teaches you: (Babaji chose these following two quotes of Sri Swami Vishwananda to include here).

“You have to look inside. When you turn inward, the Lord will reveal Himself to you and your Self will reveal itself to you. But you have to be sincere with yourself for that. You have to take your time and enjoy it. So many times people have said to me, “Oh, you know, half an hour of meditation is long enough, and one hour is way too long.” If you can’t do one hour meditation, you should not force yourself. If you can’t meditate for half an hour you should not do it. If you can only do it for one minute, then do a perfect one! Then there is one minute just between you and God, between you and Yourself – so enjoy it! It’s better than meditating for a whole day and not attaining anything!

“So keep practicing. I always say it and keep saying it all the time. When you make the effort, the Lord will run to you. It’s said, “Make one step towards God, and he will make a hundred towards you.” It’s true, you know. “The moment you are sincere with yourself and you make this one step, you’ll receive His grace. The door will be wide open, and you will see the Lord running to you! You know how beautiful it is, to experience that? How joyful it is! Words can’t express it. I can just say ‘joyful’, but it is beyond that. It even is beyond the word of Love itself! The mind can only imagine it, how it is to be continuously, constantly in Love. It’s marvelous. This type of love is unconditional. It’s without the expectation of anything in return. It’s just a flowing, a continuous flowing. Be this instrument, all of you! Don’t be scared to open up your heart; don’t be scared of getting hurt. Just love for the sake of loving. Just love because you are love. Just love because you have this fountain inside of you.

“But as long as you expect something in return, then you invite sadness and grief to come into your life. You will never be truly happy, because expectation is present. Even when you sit down for meditation, or when you are singing the name of God, don’t expect that God will appear in front of you. Many people do think this way. “A big light appears in front of you and Jesus says, “Hi, my child!” Remove this from your mind. Just do it because you love to do it.”

And...
“When a thought is passing through your mind, you know about the thought. You know whether it is positive or negative. So, if it is positive, it will be constructive; feed it, then let it grow! But when it is negative, try not to feed it. Then you say to yourself, "This is not me," and let go of it.”

Dearest Deva, in these ways, one may change his thoughts with dedicated commitment and longing for the Divine above all the ever so enticing, Maha Maya, and the material world has to offer.

Devotion to the Guru

There are different ways of attaining God, and one way is bhakti – devotion! You can have devotion to the Guru, or any form of the Divine. Devotion has no limits. When you open up your heart and let it flow, do you think this kind of love has limits? Love from the heart doesn’t have any limits, but the love in the head has lots of limits.
