Mahavatar Babaji Commemoration Day with Sri Swami Vishwananda at Shree Peetha Nilaya 30 November 2011 (From Kailaasa Devi)
Last night we celebrated Mahavatar Babaji's decision to stay on earth. Swami Vishwananda spoke about how it was, how Babaji was sitting together with His devotees and told them that He was thinking about ascending back into heaven. His sister, Mataji, argued 'But you are everywhere anyhow, You are omipresent in the whole universe. For you, it makes no difference if you go to heaven or stay here with us on Earth.' This was a very good argument, so Babaji decided to stay here on Earth with us! This wonderful loving decision is celebrated everywhere in the world on the 30th of November!

Another devotee attending wrote: Swami talked a little about Babaji at the beginning. Roshan and Swamini Kurunama from the UK talked about Kriya Yoga and Babaji. Then Swami continued with the Kalash Puja,Yagna and Abhishekam. It was really nice with 150 devotees in the Babaji Cave at Shree Peetha Nilaya. All in all it was nice and just good. Swami was quite happy.
